Follow along as a "Fly on the Wall," as Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the JR Motorsports late model team test at North Wilkesboro Speedway. You'll get to go along for the ride as Dale turns laps to test the track and tires ahead of the upcoming events.
In August thousands will flock to Wilkes County, North Carolina to experience the revival of North Wilkesboro Speedway, a beloved race track that despite two decades of dormancy and abandonment has found new life. Among the pilgrims will be NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., who intends to do more than just witness the resurrection himself. When the sun drops on Aug. 31 and the field of late-model stock cars roar to life, Dale will be behind the wheel of the No. 3 in a paint scheme resembling the one he raced 30 years earlier.
Roots + Revival is Dirty Mo Media's latest CZcams series that follows Dale Jr.'s return to late model racing at North Wilkesboro.

The entire front straight should be renamed the Dale Earnhardt Jnr stand, for all that he has done from the days of planning to scan the track, to its full real life racing revival. A major salute to you Dale, as far as Im concerned you are the face of Nascar mate.

North Wilkesboro is a Phoenix that rise from its ashes. Glad its back on the map. Always a classic short track bar none.
First NASCAR race I saw in person was in October of 1983 there at North Wilkesboro. All these years later I still grab a Cheerwine Soda and watch the Cup cars each week on TV here in Colorado. Would love to see them back there someday.
I find it kind of comical, that JR, is there to test tires. His firesuit says G. oodyear, but the car has Hoosiers on it. I can't wait to see him race in competition, again. GO JR!!!

Something nostalgic about seeing Jr in a car! Takes me back to my grandparents house as a kid watching Jr race Daytona.
Seeing Dale Jr. behind the wheel is like a ice cream sundae to this insulin dependent diabetic. Racing full time would be bad for Jr. But every once in a great while it is so sweet to cheat. I miss him racing. But boy is it really sweet to see him behind the wheel of a race car. Thank you Dale Jr. For giving your fans a huge treat.
North Wilkesboro has so much history. I can only imagine catching an actual NASCAR race there

First race I ever seen 1993 North Wilksboro with my uncle Tobey now I'm a lifetime NASCAR and DALLAS COWBOYS fan because of him. And because of that place there.

I miss seein Dale Jr race in cup he was awesome and my favorite in nascar along with Tony Stewart. Both of them were awesome and one and two favorites in nascar. Now my favorites in nascar are Martin Truex Jr, Austin Dillon, Ross Chastain and Chase Elliott.

I'm so glad to see this my daughter goes to App State in Boone and every time I go visit I think about north wilksboro because I go right bye there and remember the days they raced there glad to know it's being brought back to life that's awsome

It's nice to see the old track come back to the life. I'm hoping NASCAR comes back there in some way, whether it's the Truck Series, the Xfinity Series, or maybe the Cup Series.
