    In this video I will do an unboxing of the Ego Power+ 24-inch Two-Stage Self-Propelled Snow Blower with Peak Power. I will go over the assembly process in detail, as well as some key steps that should not be forgotten during setup. I will also go over all the specs and features of the unit and give a tutorial for how it is used. This video is not really a review. I will do a full review once I have some snow to snow to test the machine. This video is more about how to put the unit together an what all it comes with. I will also go over how to set the skid shoes in the proper position as well as checking the air pressure of the tires. The model in the video is SNT2405 with the batteries and dual charger and SNT2400 tool only.

    I’ve had mine 3 years now and absolutely love it!
    I was skeptical at first like many others until my neighbor 3 doors down was using his.
    Let me tell you I was so impressed with it, especially at the end of his driveway where it was really piled high. That ego cut through it like butter in no time.
    I went right out and bought one and haven’t looked back.
    So far so good, time will tell if it will hold up for the long haul.

      That’s great to hear. I got to use mine for the first time today and I was able to do a total of 6 driveways including mine and a bunch of neighbors. It may be the coolest machine I’ve ever owned. That’s how much fun I had using it. I filmed a full review today. Will get it up soon.

    Wondering how well this will perform on an asphalt driveway that has several large raised cracks from tree roots. Do you think the skid shoes will allow the machine to move easily over them? It seems everyone in various videos are using the blower on smooth cement surfaces. Also, my driveway has a sloped uphill grade. Hoping the self-propelled model will perform well on sloped surfaces. Thanks for your detailed videos---they are great!

      @fixitFlip  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I think the machine would perform just fine. Though the skid shoes are plastic, so they are not going to hold up as long as some metal ones. Of course you can always switch to some metal shoes. Check out my more detailed video on setting the skid shoes. I would set them up higher to avoiding ramming into those raised cracks. It will go uphill no problem.

    I'm new to all of this but bought one. When I'm not using It, do I have to bring the lithium batteries inside every single time? And can I just keep them sitting on the charger but not have the charger plugged in? Basically, how do I take care of/store the batteries?

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Great question. I would NOT store the batteries outside unless your garage is heated. The cold will shorten their lifespans. They also should not sit on the charger with it plugged in all the time. What I typically do is put them on the charger, and once I see it is fully charged later in the day or the next day, I unplug the charger. That will help it last longer. Hope that helps.

      @amyhintz471 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @fixitFlip yes this helps thank you so much. I meant though, can I store the batteries (inside) on the charger with the charger unplugged? So connected but not plugged in.

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, that's exactly what I do. Store them inside ON the charger, but unplugged!@@amyhintz471

      @fixitFlip Exclamation point I will do the same! Thank you! Takes up less space that way and keeps them secure so I was hoping it would be ok. Thanks again!

    Can you use one battery with it?

    • @fixitFlip
      @fixitFlip  Před 5 měsíci

      I believe technically it will, but Ego doesn’t recommend it. I think they recommend at least 2 5.0 amp hour batteries.

    • @artboymoy
      @artboymoy Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@fixitFlip thanks! I just bought the tool only and an extra 7.5 wh battery since I have one from the mower.
