This game gets a bit of stick but IMO it was the first proper attempt at a Doom clone on the Amiga and it actually played fairly well! I can remember completing it back in the day on my CD32 but I always remember that stinking ending, "congratulations you have completed Gloom" really? That's it?
I remember playing this DOOM clone on my friend's Amiga 1200 back in the late 1990's. The graphics are nicely drawn, and the sound effects are brilliant. The gameplay is OK. 😺👍🕹️
The AVGN: It's just a fucking watered-down piece of shit Doom knockoff! I'd sue for damages, but I'm pretty sure Black Magic's gone out of business long ago. So, yes, Gloom is a cheap knockoff that doesn't even do a good job at being a knockoff.

Seems like a capable game given the hardware.

Are you sure the graphics are on the highest setting? This looks terrible! Looks like DOOM running on a Commodore 😂

Yeah. The Cd32 is very underpowered and the Amiga isn’t great at 3d either. Runs pretty good on a 68030 processor.

Man that Amiga CD32 was weak! Doom had better pixel display on the Sega 32X or even more embarrassing the SNES!
Gloom will never defeat Doom. These lousy graphics doomed this game to fail.
