ABOUT CHICAGO PD
From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf comes "Chicago PD," a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city's most heinous offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond. Detective Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his intelligence team have always considered rules to be guidelines more than actual laws. Their goal has always been to protect their great city and they have used unique ways to help bring criminals to justice. Now it's a new day and age in Chicago. Police are under siege and under a microscope - everyone from the federal government to politicians and citizens in their own city are watching. The intelligence team will feel the pressure, and their form of justice will be questioned and challenged.

Atwater has one of the best character developments in the show. Earlier you can tell he was conflicted between wanting to do his job right and not feeling like he's selling out the black community. Now he does what's right with no conflict of interest. He's also got a lot more assertive in the later episodes. Chicago PD is hands down my favorite show
I love to see the growth in Atwater. This episode was hard topic but they did a good job. Love you Laroyce Hawkins
Love me some Atwater
I balled my eyes out in this episode it's so hard being black in this world we live it but we are going to get our justice and we are going to be the king's and queens of this world
Somos dois 😅😅😅
Atwater still needs to fight that one guy who beat him up with a baton while he was zipped tied in that one episode.
Crow Theorical that FBI agent?
@@RSY873 I don't really think that scene was about abuse of power motivated by racism....
@@alxdahgrate5195 No matter how much it looks like it
That would be bomb. Totally.

I said it before and I'll say it again Atwater episodes are 🔥

That’s how a good cop checks a bad cop. Atwater is a real one. He’s the MVP for that.
he should be in prison for assault and battery
PRHILL9696 Doyle deserved that beating.
PRHILL9696 first of all, I’m no criminal. Don’t get it twisted. Doyle was a bad cop, simple as that. Second, I’m not defending assault and battery. Every time, a bad cop commits a crime, he gets off without a slap on the wrist. Atwater handled Doyle the way he saw fit. If justice isn’t served in court, it will be served outside the court.
@@brendonisrael6255 He saved who knows how many lives. he is a hero
PRHILL9696 Atwater is a hero.
Atwater handled it how it was supposed to be handled. Straight up strong good cop. Much respect.
This is exactly how you treat a racist, with the same level of decency they give others
Também acho amo esse personagem se tivesse mais pessoas como ele meu querido seria bom mostrar que somos iguais a todos perante a Deus
Exactly thats true a taste of there own medicine
Every atwater scene give me goosebumps , they are intense .Kev dont play. Dont mess with his family , co-workers , or him . Listen to the drama music when kev is emotional it raises the hair on your skin. Best show on tv
Atwater is a beast
Love him
Day wakanda blood
This made me see Atwater in a whole other light he stood up for what he knew and I am proud of him because he was the bigger person. Which can't be said for others.
Powerful episode! Atwater gave me goosebumps...that look, those hands, then the hoodie pull!!! "A mighty good man"!
Like here for Atwater respect 🔥🔥

I love Kevin Atwater with a passion
Where is Laroyce Hawkins' Emmy for his Atwater character? Surely it is overdue !!!!
Atwater getting the scenes he deserves makes me happy
when any man or woman who wears the badge and thinks they are above the law this needs to happen to them to humble them/ground them back into reality.
Wow. *HARD SAME.*

Hard facts.

Chicago PD is a natural high for me.....LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! The way tgey go in as a pack to bring down criminals, it's not just two it's the whole team. I love that!!!! I just hate you can't see more of it Oxygen on Thurs.

Kevin Atwater is the only reason why I watch Chicago PD. 😏
I enjoyed seeing Atwater check the Bad Cop. He has shown alot of growth.

I love so much how protective these cops are of their unit. Not to mention Voight being the father figure of them all! I just love it!
This was an intense episode and I loved every minute of it. I love Chicago PD!
Oh damn!! this got real. Atwater. I thought I saw Hank Voight in him.
Damn Atwater!!!! We see you got them hands!!!

@@PRHILL9696, only to you and Bob.
What season and episode is this? Can ya help me
I know it's season 6, that's all
Wow love this episode was not expecting that at the end
This was a very interesting episode in the end no side was completely wrong or right. Yes Daryl lunged for Officer Doyle but Doyle is a known racist cop and instigated the whole incident in the first place. So at the end its up to the viewer where they stand on this. Atwater was genuinely conflicted as yes Daryl attacked first but he couldn’t let Officer Doyle’s racism slide.
nightwingman666 very well said
Dayrl never attacked doyle. The whole issue is dayrl getting shot for being black and not for being a criminal. So yeah the police was wrong.
Dutchboy266 Daryl did attack him Atwater was watching video footage he lunged for Officer Doyle.
Daryl did lunge for the officer, HOWEVER, they never should've been in that situation. The ENTIRE traffic stop was coined up from racism and never should've happened. Adding on that there was no probable cause for making them get out of the vehicle.
@@iamReddington when I saw the part of the show where Atwater and the thug were pulled over by Doyle, I thought that was the result of Kelton pulling strings trying to jam up the folks who work for Voight
Most cops are good people just like firemen, nurses, doctors, and teachers.
I don't know kind of time your on but cops still think there in the post civil rights era but now the whole world can see
Thats how men fight
A Chicago area native (Harvey and Thornton HS) he is a great character on Chicago PD. Also does lots of great work with kids.

@@PRHILL9696, how original. I'm well aware it isn't.
@@ryanpham3308 Seems like you dont
The episode just now where Torres beat up the gang leader at the end of the episode, it totally reminded me of this scene.
I watched the episode and I am going to give my full and honest opinion. Atwater handled it the way he knew he had to, but it is not good when he always has to hide his black self to do what is needed for his Badge. This episode is so real it hits home for many of us in the Black Community. Now some white people may not like what I am saying, but the truth is no white person on here knows what it feels like to be treated like you're less than a human being. To be pulled over and taunted the way that Cop did Atwater and Daryl. Roughed up and told to get on your knees. No white person can say they understand or they know how that feels. There are Real Cops just like that. And it didn't help the situation how Voight was damn near siding with the White racist Cop. Convincing Kevin that Daryl was a drug dealer and he wasn't going to go against one of his own fellow cops. I believe that even those white cops who aren't necessarily brutalizing Black people are still in some way siding with the ones who do. I'm tired of seeing Atwater handle things "their way". I'm sure there are Black Cops who end up in this exact situation. They don't even realize how unattached they become to the Black Community after a while.
I don't disagree with anything you are saying. I'm just curious to why we don't hear about any whites that are killed by the police?
@@robertpreston2220 why is it when someone talks about the unfairness of cops just shooting blacks without regard someone always has to ask "what about blacks killing blacks? what does that have to do with treachery09's comment? or are you saying that the way some cops handle their interaction with blacks is a justification to people killing each other? what treachery09 is talking about is the behavior of officers of the law or specifically black officers of the law. I think we really should hold them to a higher set of standards and stop trying to compare the behavior of a bunch of idiots who don't instead of trying to talk out their problems will go around shooting each other and hurting innocent bystanders in the process. so instead of the questions you asked, why don't you ask more of the officers who swore to protect their citizen to remember that instead of looking at every person as a threat.
samari579 preach!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Right On Brother. I'm Feeling You.
That's right. It's just like that.
Yeah, he did do that; that's probably why they came to his neighborhood gunning for him; not just because of what he told about what went down but because of the fight between them and drawing the gun;.
Nothing but respect for Atwater and the entire crew of Chicago PD

3:10; what kind of gun is Atwater using to point at Doyle's head?
How does that feel
It didn't feel satisfying. He needed to get him back where it really hurts. I would like to see this be a two episode sage where he does get his badge and make him pay that way.

Thats the future district commander. He is learner how the system work by two people whos establish as power brokers in the department trudy and voight.
the hood pull sealed it. and who is this guy able to lift atwater?
Atwater’s My Guy fr and I just love how Doyle starts to chicken out and acts like a baby when Atwater puts a gun to his head and he wasn’t much of a baby when he pulled Atwater and his pal over, besides Atwater can just take his badge as it was right there😂
Wow great
How is he telling him to be a cop, when he killed the man that killed his son. He is head cop
To make sure Atwater doesn't end up like Voight.
Voight has no problem pushing buttons and boundaries as long as innocent people are safe in Chicago. As he once told the team he needs to know all the details so he can take the heat cuz he knows, through his deal with Internal Affairs, that he can handle it. Plus he's already got a reputation as a "dirty cop" so he wants to keep his team clean and above board so they're seen as good cops just doing their job.
@@BigBWolf90 And it's why he was utterly furious at Hailey crossing the line with planting dope, in order to get that kingpin busted. He cares too much about his Intelligence family to let any of them become like him.
