Hawk Attacks Chickens!

Bird netting that you can get from local big box stores is not a match for a desperate hawk (type is unknown). The hawk hit the netting so hard that it ripped right through into the chicken run. We lost one chicken. Soon afterward we upgraded the netting to a commercial grade that covers the whole run including the coop. The new netting has been in place for a few years and no more hawks have broke in. It even protects against desperate raccoons looking for a meal.
