I see you got new wheels after destroying the old ones. You ground down a lot of material left on the wheels by using a file. Next time, use a fine grit sand paper to remove the dirt and condition the wheels for street use instead of removing the wheel itself.
Das Video hat mich inspiriert, mein altes Jack the Ripper Skateboard von Bauer/Saturn wieder aufzubauen. Leider war das Brett an sich wirklich nicht mehr zu retten- deshalb habe ich den Aufdruck auf Ober- und Unterseite eingescannt und am PC restauriert. Dann habe ich aus mehreren Lagen Sperrholz mit Hilfe einer Pressform ein neues Brett geleimt und bedruckt. Rollen habe ich bei eBay nagelneue bekommen, in genau dieser Old School Form. Danke für das Video, ich habe jetzt einen richtigen Eyecatcher zuhause!
wow great work! glad that you preserved the original wood condition and paint. Im really interested in what do did with the layering of the fiberglass sheet. I want to try that as well. do you know any videos or tutorial to get me familiar with using fiberglass?

The only thing is that was an incredibly cheap skateboard back in the 80s. Almost flat without kick tail. They were about £14. In comparison a good deck (wood only) like a Tony Hawk was £50 - £60. The difference between the two was immense.
If at some point I decide to recondition my shitty first skateboard is going to be your fault ..have a similar look, but I guess it was mostly a toy. Great video

Der Kern aus 4 mm Birke Sperrholz und 3 mm Pappel Sperrholz das Laminat unten ist - 300 g/m2 UD Glas Gelege -400 g/m2 Biax Glas Gewebe -160 g/m2 Köper Gewebe Carbon Das Laminat oben hat nur eine Schicht Biax würde dieses Brett mit einem Achsabstand von ungefähr 70 cm und einer Camber von 3 cm funktionieren?
Danke :) Wie ist dein Kern aufgebaut? Echt nur 4mm Birke+3mm Pappel oder 4mm Birke+3mm Pappel+4mm Birke? Ersteres wird nicht gehen. Der Faseraufbau klingt gut, Torsionsbox vorhanden, UD auf der Unterseite, Carbon wohl nur als Sichtcarbon. Ob das funktioniert ist natürlich abhängig von deinem Gewicht ;)

Wenn der Boarder "jung" ist, gehe ich von keinen 70kg aus, richtig? Schau dir doch mal mein lila "Lotte Board" an. Ist ein Kinderboard mit 2x4mm Birke und entsprechendem Glasaufbau. 4mmBirke+3mmPappel+4mmBirke zusammen mit deinem Faseraufbau wird für ein Kind entwas überdimensioniert sein. Ich würde Pappel nur als mittlere Kernlage nutzen, nicht wie von dir angedacht 4mmBirke+3mmPappel...

Das war ein sehr leichtes Leinwandgewebe, es erhöht die Festigkeit nur minimal, ich wollte das es maximal durchsichtig wird um die original Grafik sichtbar zu lassen. Ich glaub so 50g/m²...
