A fun thing happened as I was making this animatic, my animating program crashed horribly. Which means I had to resort to my previous save, meaning I had to redo the entire scar layer, meaning I got set back about 6 hours.
After which, I got back to work, listening to Bennet Foddy's "Getting over it" commentary.

Most people who animate this scene focus on the actual tunnel boar. I like how you made a point to acknowledge the equally funny context too.

The only way you can have grian finish the back is by forcing him to make a round base.

The whole atmosphere around Doc's perimeter and tunnel bore is jaw dropping
Seeing that hole in videos doesn't do justice. It's so big you can't see the other side while playing on bedrock, and it takes like 30 seconds to fly across it with an elytra. But of course bedrock would have a limited amount it could convert over, so I couldn't even see the tunnel bore because the tunnel got cut off.
The incident was so cursed that even trying to recreate it caused damage and required a reload.
Really! Not even ONE SECOND into the video and I'm already getting called out!?

I've liked to think that your artstyle is why the Grian statue in season X has a giant mullet.

For the record, my original intention wasn't to make Grian have a mullet.
What I got when I first started to draw him wasn't what I had pictured in my head.

Dude, the look Scar gives Grian when he asks to see the tunnel bore was so good, that shift from staring down his nose at him to actively enabling the procrastination was so good! I love the lighting and environments for this whole thing too, and the wide shots of them in the cave - I could go all night singing praises for this!

This is by far my favorite Hermitcraft animatic account. I feel like I’m watching Saturday morning cartoons in the seventies, and I LOVE it, it is by far my favorite style of any animatic.

I always wondered why Rukart had never made an animatic around The Incident, which is an iconic as all hell scene. I'm glad that he made it, _better late than never!!_
Also can I mention how awesome the background designs and landscapes are in Rukart's animatics? The entire sequence of backgrounds fro *1:48* Look absolutely awe-inspiring. *2:18* Not to mention how good and unique the tunnel bore looks too. I'm only slighlty sad that you didn't actually show it blowing up on-screen, *3:02* that would've looked spectacular.

As I saw Grian's episode, I only realized what the title is as they were going to the tunnel bore. My reaction was more than Grian when watching Scar bring over the charged creeper in season 8.
If Gem and Impulse had gone with them, maybe that would have never happened! The two of them needed adult supervision! XD

Amazing one. Very much like the vibes around the tunnel bore. The blue lighting on both the characters and evironment made it feel appropriately uninviting. Also love how imposing you make the bore itself, especially the art at 2:18, great stuff.
