- Before the FIA Season Kicks off in a few weeks time we had the pleasure of two Nitro Funny Car teams putting in some passes at Festival of Power. Jason Phelps in the Hawk Racing 'Gladiator' Toyota Camry and European FC Record Holder Kevin Kent with the West Ten Motorsport Monte Carlo.

The drag car though can’t carry 5 people in comfort with all your shopping in the boot. Can’t run in the wet, needs refuelling after one run and usually needs an engine rebuild after one run too. I love these sorts of drag cars but I know what I’d prefer

Had so many good times at Santa Pod. But for christ's sake, lose the embarrasing junior dragsters, and put more ticket money into the top team's pockets. Everything slower than 7.5 secs is not what we come for. That 4.35 is the best and only actually decent full Nitro Funny car pass I've ever seen in all these years. Still half a second off the Americans. But a good step forward. Lets aim for a 3.99 at over 300mph, Gladiator.
