      Mimi Shi I’m Chinese American and I don’t get disrespected in Hong Kong when I visited Hong Kong. But when I visited Mainland that is a whole other story.
      I also noticed when in Hong Kong mainland tourists acts like they own the place and don’t follow the rules. I was pushed by Mainland tourist at Ocean Park just because the mainland tourists wanted to take a selfie. I got shoved so many times it pissed me off.
      Truth be told I think the CCP government and the Mainlanders should leave HKers alone. Actually Mainland tourists need to learn to respect the law of the land even in other countries or other city states. Mainland tourists already created a bad representation for themselves all over the world for being rude and disrespectful.
      Also look up China’s 50 cent army. Before this protest the CCP has been Notorious for paying people for trolling online to be pro-CCP. Even people who used to be paid to do this came out in the open. Sorry but Mainland Chinese and the CCP need to learn to humble themselves and stop being dicks to other people. If you don’t live in HK why do you care what HKers do. It does not affect you personally. But it’s immoral to go to someone’s home and treat them like trash, and disrespect them and their land. It just makes you an invader of their home.

    • @CrimsonEclipse
      @CrimsonEclipse Před 5 lety +11

      jovan tan truth be told Chinese tourist has been famous all over the world. Just recently my Korean friend was treated badly at a Coach store in the US because she was mistaken for a Mainland Chinese tourist because she has an accent. Also the location is popular with Mainland tourist.
      In Hong Kong it was better to speak English over Mandarin since the typical amount of bad tourist they gotten from the mainland. My English was far better than my Cantonese and Mandarin. Just speaking English I didn’t feel discriminated.
      But in Mainland China speaking Mandarin I got made fun of.
      Not all Mainland tourist are bad but the large amount is hard to miss.

      @Hartono The Assange situation is a mess as well. I do not agree with. There is plenty of injustice to go around. If the HK people believes it is OK to have extradition bill with the US, it should be their decision to make without threat of force. China has the potential to show the world that it can be an example for other countries to follow through dialect, not with threats or force. Siting down to talk with protesters will probably go a long way to calm the situation. Mainland Chinese or HK Chinese is still Chinese. Bloodshed on the mainland side or HK side is not good for either.

Instead of appreciating what China has brought them with their grew in economic power, they are stepping on their own country. It is clearly shown on the figures that 70% of the tourism in Hong Kong are from mainland and Hong Kong port logistic are heavily relies on reexporting mainland products. In 1993, Hong Kong GDP accounted 28% in China GDP but in today, Hong Kong made up less than 3%. If they still continue with such ignorant mindset and continue with their terrorism act, I believe Hong Kong recession are just around the corner. Furthermore, if China decided to close their window for Hong Kong market access and allow them independence which is less likely but it might be a move that China could take into consideration, Hong Kong are basically nothing but an island since they are totally useless for the Western countries.

Instead, they increased their rioting and destruction of public taxpayer-funded infrastructure. They singlehandedly crippled Hong Kong's ability to do business and draw in tourism.
