It has come to a point where Karen L Kahan (the original artist) brought legal action against Ms. Ross to stop her from profiting off of work that Ms. Ross did not do.

I'm seeing a lot of hate in the comments about her "stealing" this song from the original artist.
She did not steal it, it's just a cover. She wrote in the comments replying to another commenter on her tiktok, and i quote, "I love it... it's not my song but it's perfect" she did not steal the song nor is she taking credit for the song. She just did not credit the original artist.
Recording it for profit, without knowledge or permission of the author, and not even giving credit is the exact definition of theft of intellectual property.
That is stealing it.
She also misnames the song and edits out one of the verses. These are additional violations. Very sad.

She did. Honestly that’s how I found the original singer and her other songs. It’s other uploads on YT that didn’t but took her music without adding all the info and the original artist lumped them all together.
