In my own family my Mother and I were nature spirits and would wander barefoot down streams looking for stones, bones and all matter of special items with their own magic. Though years and miles apart from the author of this chant her meaning lives on within me, and in turn, my own savage daughters. Together we are all Mothers, Daughters and Sisters.
Mate, I don't know why, but this song reminds me of my mum she was the strongest, most honest, bravehearted hard working woman I have ever known she raised us 5 boys to be the good men we are today she recently died in a horrible car accident aged 70 but she'll always have a special place in my heart and I'm proud to be her son

I'm very pleased to see you honoring the skaldic traditions of my ancestors. What a wonderful rendition of this beautiful song. I was fortunate enough to encounter Wyndreth at an SCA event some years ago when I still did such things, when I battled for the hearts of fair maidens with weapons made of rattan rather than the live steel we use in living history reenactment.
I am so glad this song is getting its fame. The first time I ever heard it was from Wyndreth herself, I knew this song could/should take over the world.
Most of the Maidens in my SCA group have this song memorized and will sing it at the drop of a hat.
