The thing I always tell my son. “Think before you act.” I explain to him that he needs to really slow down and think before doing things. Why? Because one day it won’t be his momma and myself doling out the punishment. It’ll be a man in a black robe. And he will sentence you to life in jail and not lose a second of sleep. Many of our young men think that we don’t want them to have fun. No it’s just we don’t want to be sitting across a table talking through a phone and an inch thick piece of plexiglass.
