It is good version, but miss the guipsy feel that violing gives to this original version…
@@haukionkannel True, the violin does give a gypsy feel which matches the movie scenes, but in the Wembley version Troy's ebow on his guitar is similar and haunting, with more emotional vocals from Marko with Floor backing him.

I don't know many bands for which the live version is at least as good as the studio version, every time. And even sung more than a decade later the voice color is still there, still flawless and even more emotional. And the reviewed instrumentaion brings more to that emotion imo. The old version is sweet, but the new one deeper to me. Definitely have to see this one.

Quite different from most Nightwish songs, yes, mainly because this was just half the band there, creating this in the time between albums.
Unpopular opinion: I prefer the studio version with the violin rather than the live version... And the MV is beautiful!
My wife and I chose this song as our Bridal Waltz 13 years ago
Only Marco, Tuomas and Jukka were performing here. There is a live version from Wembley with the full band.

Its quite different to the usual Nightwish. Its very much written for the purpose, as it should be, but its still clearly a Tuomas/Marko product.

Admittedly, it's easy to miss this one even if you have listened to all their albums, seeing how it has only been released on the 'Amaranth' single and on 'Made In Hong Kong (And In Various Other Places)'.
