Oh please, Banana Culture's group deserves the lower rankings for sure. They may be talented but they plagiarized a choreography from Got7 Yugyeom's "Hit the Stage" performance and said they choreographed it. They not only stole credit for a dance they never made, but also lied right in front of the judge's face about. That included Jackson, as if he wouldn't know the choreography of his little brother. The beginning was also stolen from Seventeen's "Don't Wanna Cry" and one more was also put in there. Their dance was more like a compilation of choreographies, which is fine, but then they tried to pass it off as theirs, which is not.

I mean the one who choreographed the dance surely knows, but the others might just learn and follow the dance moves without noticing it. Besides, the one who answered the question is their leader, if one of the trainees reveal the truth infront of so many trainees and teachers. The leader might feel ashamed, and there will be fan wars happened between each bananas trainees. So, the person that should be responsible for this should be the one who answered the question. He really should answer it more carefully. I hope you give chances to the other trainees.
This performance was outstanding though... You can still tell they worked hard, no matter what. I can't believe the way some of them were scored even compared to others that made class a and b

To the people still complaining about choreography- I’m a dancer. There is no such thing as original choreography anymore, or if there is it’s rare. People get inspiration from a number of dances and certain moves may be appealing to them. It’s not the moves themselves, but rather the combination of various moves that make a dance. Take the shoot dance. It’s everywhere. Are they all plagiarizing because their choreographers take credit for creating the dance? No. Certain moves may be recognizable but unless it’s move for move and beat for beat, then it’s not plagiarism, that’s just how choreography works. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I guess originality is rare, but claiming that the choreography was by you IS plagiarism. There was A LOT of similar moves. He should have credited Yugyeom. Even Jackson whispered 'copied' to Lay after.
Tae Kookie i dont think they were able to credit yug out loud since this is a chinese broadcast. Claiming its theirs is... a grey area. Its theirs in the sense they did create certain combination of dance. Its just that they took a lot of yugyeoms dance. You never know maybe they said it but the show cut it out :/
mands ; sorry i wasn't informed of that until now, but i still think even "copying" some coreographies and arranging the whole performance to look that solid needs a lot of practice i don't mean to offend you but some team do covers too so i don't think it's bad considering they are still trainees besides, if some of the moves such as the clock hand thing is credited to others then dancers can't even move freely
the thing is he said he choreographed it himself, if he just said he did the cover dance it was all fine, people are angry or upset because he claimed it was his own work :/

It's been 2 months yet i still see people commenting on this that they copied Kpop dances. Let me get this straight. Lin Chaoze clearly said that he choreographed MOST of the dance, not all. And I'm saying this as an ahgase, wannable, carat, and exo-l, just give them a break. Yes, I'm not denying that he should've given credits, but don't make such a big deal that he did not. As a dancer myself, it is hard to think of a choreography that is as amazing and powerful as that. And it's not like he copied the dance for his own song or anything like that, it is simply for a cover. And who knows, they may have said that they were inspired but some Kpop dances but China could've decided to edit it out, you never know. They only took 10s-15s of Yugyeom dance. For Wanna One's, many people do that now, and plus it could've been choreographed back in 1900s and Wanna One took that choreography, you never know ;) For the walking around in Seventeen's Don't Wanna Cry, c'mon, can't they even walk around? And for EXO's floor move thing, saying they copied that is simply outrageous, everyone does it nowadays. And they're amazing vocalists and dancers after all, so strop hating on them.
Linang Algo I agree but in the second evaluations gao maotong moves from c to d Lin Yanjun a lap moved from c to d and li Ruotian went from c to f and Jiang jing zuo, Lu Dinghao, qiu zhixie stayyed in c class and Bei Honglin upgraded from c class to b class while you Zhangjing upgraded from b to a class then Lin chaoze got a level in this performance and he remained in a level

Latest update on banana boys in nine percent...you zhangjing already successfully made his solo debut in June with his first ost song ao Hong chen which ranked first in China billboard chart for the month of July..he also voted as the best new artist in China region for the whole month if August on weibo and he successfully upgraded his category into Asia Pacific region which he topped the chart on the first 2 weeks of September....now he is busy preparing for nine percent upcoming album and also his solo activity.,..who would have thought that a low profile contestant like him would made so big eventhough he is from Malaysia a foreigner...
I know us ahgasaes are upset that yugyeom wasn't credited but this is a CHINESE show after all, even Lay and Jackson didn't talk bout their grps but talked about their personal careers I don't think he meant to not credit yugyeom I just don't think it was allowed or advisable but that's just my opinion. A OH compared to u maybe? Choreographing and harmonizing isn't as easy as u think. Try choreographing for urself first and see how well u do. But do remember that he has to choreograph for 9 PEOPLE and even think of their positions and formations and how to make them stand out during their part.

The question about the choreography could have been edited out, but to make the show a more authentic reality show it is best not to. Lin Chaotze may have thought the question is about the choreography on the first part. The performance on the second part is to showcase their dancing skill (as performers are also asked to) and in their case they showcase it as a group whereas Bei Honglin also showcase his rapping skill individually. They are not trying to deceive anyone intentionally as everyone say anyone with a trained eye (Lay, Jackson and the dance mentors) will be able to recognize the Hit The Stage choreography, and people who asked them to be kicked out of the show just so that their favorites will have a better chance of getting in are being ridiculous. I think Lay understood that the leader just gave an erroneous reply cos of the occasion (some have stage fright and other giving an erroneous reply and forgetting to give credit to whoever) Anyway just appreciate what was a good performance.
Even seasoned performers will need feedback from a team of choreographer. Just treat it as a dance medley or performance medley like people singing in song medleys...Will people mention that the song is a medley of which singers if the medley of songs are so obvious.
It is a medley of singing and dancing performance just as in in medley of songs. He had no intent of deceiving and gave an erroneous answer probably surprised by such a question. They are just idol contestant and not expert dance choreographer.
And I mean why would they "oh so obviously" copy Yugyeom's dance if Jackson who watched the actual performance himself would be there???? Even if they did copy the dance, the dance was still hard making them put their efforts into learning the dance
Watching idol producer s3 now makes me realised how little of screen time jiang jing zuo gets..... he was outstanding in this performance and had quite alot of centre parts yet he’s graded C

for me I believe that Zhangjing should have gotten an A score for this audition piece, & other members should have higher scores. Anyway, he got in the final top 9 of Idol Producer so all is good.
i think it's possible that the leader was only referring to the choreography of the singing part and not the dance part... i know they did not give credit to yugyeom and others (or maybe the show did not show it), but i still want to appreciate how beautiful their singing is and how good they are as a team!

A lost ELF - everlastingfriend , the BC trainee (Lin Chaoze) could have said: “the dance was inspired by other artists.” without using any words like “South Korea”. The political issue can’t be an excuse for taking credit for other artists’ work.
Maybe he just didn’t think of saying that or he did mention it but the editors cut it? It’s kinda sad for him though because he probably doesn’t know about this and can’t clarify himself.
For ppl who keep gg on about them copying kpop idols: the moves which u claimed are from wanna one which is most likely the stomping part is a very comman dance move and plus moves like looking upwards are common. there are many choreographies where the idol looks upwards, so do u want to say seventeen copied some other boy band? and plus the floor move which i am sure are referring to exo's is not something that is rare. there are many choreographies that include them dancing on the floor and such. and the leader said he choreographed MOST of it and not ALL of it. Lovely performance, I was honestly amazed. And I'm so done with certain comments about plagiarism here. They never said that they made the ENTIRE thing by themselves and also, certain dance moves did not even originate from the kpop idols some of the people are mentioning here.
STOP BASHING THEM. This was one of the best performance for evaluation. They might have taken the dance of the got7 member but that doesn't mean there is no originality in their performance. And when that A trainee had said that he had made most of the choreography he had also mentioned that he got ideas from others too. He might have meant the vocal part's choreography but who knows. You all are going around writing huge ass paragraphs on how they didn't give credit but then just stand in their position and let's see if you remember what to speak. back here after 3 years, time has gone by so quickly. From this performance You Zhangjing became one of my picks and i remember crying when he got in :') i have watched most of the shows from both iqiyi and tencent, but this one just hits different.

It's September 2018 and I came back for this! This performance would always have a special place in my heart! The best audition piece by a group at Idol Producer!
It's been 2 months yet i still see people commenting on this that they copied Kpop dances. Let me get this straight.
Lin Chaoze clearly said that he choreographed MOST of the dance, not all. And I'm saying this as an ahgase, wannable, carat, and exo-l, just give them a break. Yes, I'm not denying that he should've given credits, but don't make such a big deal that he did not. As a dancer myself, it is hard to think of a choreography that is as amazing and powerful as that. And it's not like he copied the dance for his own song or anything like that, it is simply for a cover. And who knows, they may have said that they were inspired but some Kpop dances but China could've decided to edit it out, you never know.
They only took 10s-15s of Yugyeom dance. For Wanna One's, many people do that now, and plus it could've been choreographed back in 1900s and Wanna One took that choreography, you never know ;) For the walking around in Seventeen's Don't Wanna Cry, c'mon, can't they even walk around? And for EXO's floor move thing, saying they copied that is simply outrageous, everyone does it nowadays.
And they're amazing vocalists and dancers after all, so strop hating on them.

Linang Algo I agree but in the second evaluations gao maotong moves from c to d Lin Yanjun a lap moved from c to d and li Ruotian went from c to f and Jiang jing zuo, Lu Dinghao, qiu zhixie stayyed in c class and Bei Honglin upgraded from c class to b class while you Zhangjing upgraded from b to a class then Lin chaoze got a level in this performance and he remained in a level
@@mariannes6657 only you zhangjing and Lin yanjun successfully made into the debuting team...the remaining 7 of them already debuted in the group tangram under banana entertainment..it's also rumoured that zhangjing will release his solo album after the disbandment of nine percent. I am not sure about Lin Yan Jun though.

Latest update on banana boys in nine percent...you zhangjing already successfully made his solo debut in June with his first ost song ao Hong chen which ranked first in China billboard chart for the month of July..he also voted as the best new artist in China region for the whole month if August on weibo and he successfully upgraded his category into Asia Pacific region which he topped the chart on the first 2 weeks of September....now he is busy preparing for nine percent upcoming album and also his solo activity.,..who would have thought that a low profile contestant like him would made so big eventhough he is from Malaysia a foreigner...

This performance was really SUPERIOR and in another level
I know us ahgasaes are upset that yugyeom wasn't credited but this is a CHINESE show after all, even Lay and Jackson didn't talk bout their grps but talked about their personal careers I don't think he meant to not credit yugyeom I just don't think it was allowed or advisable but that's just my opinion. I hope everyone will discuss about this issue rationally and will not bash without looking at the context

And I'm sure if the program speaks up about this, the guy will apologise. I'm not saying he did something good but it's not bad enough to the point of heving to be excluded from the program

A OH compared to u maybe? Choreographing and harmonizing isn't as easy as u think. Try choreographing for urself first and see how well u do. But do remember that he has to choreograph for 9 PEOPLE and even think of their positions and formations and how to make them stand out during their part.

Most choreographies have dance moves that are commonly in many choreographies.Did you know the starting move of got7 hard carry where they shrug their shoulders is what shinee does for their song replay? He also has to decide how to make each part of the dance make a specific person stand out. And no it is NOT easier to choreograph for 9 ppl than it is for 3 ppl. I'm still confused as to why their company didn't debut them. So talented and they go so well together!
The question about the choreography could have been edited out, but to make the show a more authentic reality show it is best not to. Lin Chaotze may have thought the question is about the choreography on the first part. The performance on the second part is to showcase their dancing skill (as performers are also asked to) and in their case they showcase it as a group whereas Bei Honglin also showcase his rapping skill individually. They are not trying to deceive anyone intentionally as everyone say anyone with a trained eye (Lay, Jackson and the dance mentors) will be able to recognize the Hit The Stage choreography, and people who asked them to be kicked out of the show just so that their favorites will have a better chance of getting in are being ridiculous. I think Lay understood that the leader just gave an erroneous reply cos of the occasion (some have stage fright and other giving an erroneous reply and forgetting to give credit to whoever) Anyway just appreciate what was a good performance.

Even seasoned performers will need feedback from a team of choreographer. Just treat it as a dance medley or performance medley like people singing in song medleys...Will people mention that the song is a medley of which singers if the medley of songs are so obvious.

It is a medley of singing and dancing performance just as in in medley of songs. He had no intent of deceiving and gave an erroneous answer probably surprised by such a question. They are just idol contestant and not expert dance choreographer.
And I mean why would they "oh so obviously" copy Yugyeom's dance if Jackson who watched the actual performance himself would be there???? Even if they did copy the dance, the dance was still hard making them put their efforts into learning the dance

for me I believe that Zhangjing should have gotten an A score for this audition piece, & other members should have higher scores. Anyway, he got in the final top 9 of Idol Producer so all is good.

i think it's possible that the leader was only referring to the choreography of the singing part and not the dance part... i know they did not give credit to yugyeom and others (or maybe the show did not show it), but i still want to appreciate how beautiful their singing is and how good they are as a team!

A lost ELF - everlastingfriend , the BC trainee (Lin Chaoze) could have said: “the dance was inspired by other artists.” without using any words like “South Korea”. The political issue can’t be an excuse for taking credit for other artists’ work.
Maybe he just didn’t think of saying that or he did mention it but the editors cut it? It’s kinda sad for him though because he probably doesn’t know about this and can’t clarify himself.

For ppl who keep gg on about them copying kpop idols:
the moves which u claimed are from wanna one which is most likely the stomping part is a very comman dance move and plus moves like looking upwards are common. there are many choreographies where the idol looks upwards, so do u want to say seventeen copied some other boy band? and plus the floor move which i am sure are referring to exo's is not something that is rare. there are many choreographies that include them dancing on the floor and such. and the leader said he choreographed MOST of it and not ALL of it. Yes he could have said that part was from Yugyeom performance, but that itself would stir up politcal issues as well. And he did say his members helped him. So what if it was his members' suggestion? As a leader, he has a greater responsibility compared to the rest. In addition, has it ever occur to you that he may have not know that yugyeom's choreography was done by jackson teammate?
plus if u want to claim that it is plagerism, what about moves from BTS blood sweat tears? the one where the all move against the floor? that particular move is done by Uniq in EOEO first. so are u gg to accuse BTS of plagerism? And plus, dancing to choreographies are already hard enough, so what makes u think that choreographing for 9 PEOPLE is easy?Please look at their talents too cause it isnt easy to harmonise too. plus to remain stable while dancing isnt easy either. And plus the mentors also said that they have great harmonies which u need to put in a lot of effort and practice to do well. And if u think harmonies are that easy to do, try doing it on ur own. I love this performance so much ❤. The vocals were beautifuk and the dance was amazing 💕. They could actually debut as a group. And im also very happy that Yanjun and Zhangjing got in the final Top 9 ❤!

Lovely performance, I was honestly amazed. And I'm so done with certain comments about plagiarism here. They never said that they made the ENTIRE thing by themselves and also, certain dance moves did not even originate from the kpop idols some of the people are mentioning here.
STOP BASHING THEM. This was one of the best performance for evaluation. They might have taken the dance of the got7 member but that doesn't mean there is no originality in their performance. And when that A trainee had said that he had made most of the choreography he had also mentioned that he got ideas from others too. He might have meant the vocal part's choreography but who knows. You all are going around writing huge ass paragraphs on how they didn't give credit but then just stand in their position and let's see if you remember what to speak. These boys did so much hardwork yet there are only a few who appreciate it. Great.

back here after 3 years, time has gone by so quickly. From this performance You Zhangjing became one of my picks and i remember crying when he got in :') i have watched most of the shows from both iqiyi and tencent, but this one just hits different.

- the guy did NOT say that they fully created the choreography, they said MOSTLY
- whoever says that they're "copying" other groups really needs to re-examine their biases and realised that these dance moves are like basic stuff and you can't copy it when everyone does it
- THEY AREN'T GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO CREDIT YUGYEOM ANYWAYS BECAUSE OF CHINA AND KOREA STUFF AND NATIONAL TENSIONS AND GROUP LABELS AND STUFF
