Lyrics:
When you were just a young girl and still in school
How come you never learned the golden rule?
Don't talk to strange men, don't be a fool
I'm hearing stories; I don't think that's cool
Why dont'cha tell me someone isn't lovin' you?
'Cause you're my girl, some say it's no longer true
You're seeing some slick continental dude
I'm beggin' you, please
(Don't talk to strangers)
Baby, dont'cha talk
(Don't talk to strangers)
You know he'll only use you up
(Don't talk, don't talk)
Don't talk
(Don't talk, don't talk to him)
Nobody, nobody ever told you - Hudba
i miss the old MTV when they played these videos non stop all day.......I'm so old
Nope.
Noope.
Noooope.
You're the right age.
😉
Grew up on this as well. Also, remember when it was back and forth videos from MTV and VH1? Yup, we're old!

My favorite Rick Springfield song.....the 80’s were the best times in my life

Heard that
My favorite Rick Springfield song.
GenX Sister Melissa, I agree. Rick is everything great about our decade…
Always will be and the 70's
Rick Springfield deserves so much more credit than received. He never wanted to be a teen idol, but is one of the best looking guys in music and had to go with the flow of the music business. But being Dr. Noah Drake was a blessing in disguise. Props for his hard work and perserverence.
Agree, his talent was not understood totally...It's a pity as he deserved miuch more than he got....
Rob Lowe went through the same thing at the same time.
I was very saddened to learn that he had attempted suicide. Thank God he failed!
I love the song, and I had a crush on him. I bought the cassette music. I had a boom box in my 1972 ford pinto. What a life I had.
wasn't he also an actor in a soap opera?
Rick was the heartthrob of millions of girls and women in the 80's!
and men 😁
So true !
and guys too!! don't forget about us 🏳️🌈
I'm 50 and grew up with 80's music. Reliving my teenage years. I love it!!!
Same here.
I’m also 50, and this song still sounds fresh
Faithful groupie of Rick Soringfield here since 1982!! Used to watch him on the soap opera, " General Hospital" back in.the day also!! Australian Hottie!!!🇦🇺 🇦🇺 🇦🇺 🇦🇺 🇦🇺
Remember, night ranger,
Truth be told
I'm 53 so I grew up in the 70's and 80's. The best music came out of that time! Songs like this bring me back.
I miss the 80's so much
Today as a middle schooler I prefer 80s music rather then any other music
I was in elementary school when it came out..Lol

I liked this song more than “Jessie’s Girl” back in the day...
Back in the day for me was like 10 years ago. But mee too.
Oh it's definitely better.

I was in high school, and this song was a huge hit in French class!
Rick Springfield has the energy of a man half his age. He gives his all during his performances!
Oh 80s... why’d you leave so soon 💜

Stay Single, don't talk to Strangers
Myself I am a 60 year old man now bur back in the 1980s rick Springfield was truly amazing he did so much to bring pop into his world with a bang too MTV had lot's of impact on what music stars made it and why some didn't the decade of them grand 80s is still in everyone who refused to let age grind us down you are only old as you feel and for me I'm going to rock on until my life ends it's hard to express how music can bring you into another plane of existence all I can say is be true to thine ownself and let them memories live with others who appreciate music at its best I hope MTV and vh-1 will always know it's the artist who got them where they are now ok.
@@jackaction7077Show or shove?
Everybody loved "Jesse's Girl" but this was my favorite :)
mine, too. better lyrics
"who's this don juan i've been hearing of,
love hurts when only one's in love
did you fall at first sight or did you need a shove?"
Me, too! It's still my favorite single by him. Even though I know he wrote better songs. It's just a perfect '80s Pop Rock song. The vocals, music, lyrics, just hit me, every time, since hearing it, at age 8, when We got the album, in 1982. The ONLY thing wrong with the song...it's ONLY ABOUT 3 MINUTES LONG!
My favorite too! 🙌🏾
Same I like this song
I read that he had a crush on a girl in college but she had a boyfriend and thats what inspired him to write the song and in the end he did get Jesse's Girl.
I love this song wish I could relive the 1980s again so much awesome music, miss the old MTV when music rule and was play over and over ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍
There will never be another decade as great as the 80's
Only the 70's can beat the 80's.
🔥🔥💯
This is the decade of Aids epidemic, crack epidemic and the war on drugs good times
@@brian2100 But you partied hard, right Brian…😎
Dennis my GenX Brother, I’m with you man…
This was a huge hit in 1982. And it still is.
This song still remains so tight and sensual , like so many early 80's hits.....the musicianship was top drawer with great lyrics and fantastic guitar work. I still think that this was Rick's hottest moment ! 1982 was on "fire" !!! ❤
When I was 13 years old, Rick was the very first concert that I went to with my best friend. I really miss how easy life was back then, and how great the music of the 80’s were!!
I'm glad I was a teenager growing up during up during this time. Rick has always been underrated as a musician.
The under rated comes from industry standards. However for the fans if you are a true an real fan of Rick and so many others like him be they male or female, they are rated by we the individual fans! I hold them all as icons I admire an will always love them an be eternally blessed by them all!!!
❤️
This guy’s a buddy of mine

Im still in love with Rick Springfield!!!! I still watch his videos!!! Hes beautiful and gorgeous. still!!!!.

rick is so underrated,,,,,decades of hits, still has a great voice ,,,and HAIR! rock on brother!,,,,,saw him a few yrs ago in sc,,,he sounded great!!!
This is my favorite Rick Springfield song. Hearing this song was historical for me. It was the first song I remember hearing on the radio when I first started living in the D.C. area again back in 1982. Now in 2021 I'm still here.
If your living in Washington D.C. you may not to talk stranger you might be running from them be safe.
Fitting song for the city outskirts...I'm in Fredericksburg...I hear ya.

Check out Synthwave / Retrowave. Music in the style of the '80s. There's still a lot more new music to enjoy.😉

First sight
Feels like the first time, every time, I see him, absolutely gorgeous, simply a
Simply amazing, wonderful father, best friend, brother, never, ever argued w/ this man, ever,
Nice truck btw
Saw him in concert last night, and he's still got it!! It was a blast.
Rick Springfield was & still is an excellent lyricist, singer & guitarist. I do not think he can fully realizing his shaping of the 1980's . . . with his Studz McKenzie terrier, snappy story-songs that induces self-doubt & a burning need to feel & express the uncertainties. His fresh Ricky Nelson-ish looks added to being able to carry a GREAT stage presence, cool video visuals . . . the is living legend in the truest sense.
There was also a David Cassidy look to him, too. But! He was better looking and a lot taller at 6'2".
This song made those times a little better. When you're surrounded by great music life is better. Turn on the radio and stuff like this comes through the speakers it's just wonderful.
I miss the 80's. I wish a hole would swallow me up and take me back. I hate the world today.
Yeah I agree with you, almost everyone loves to stare at their mobile phone instead of talking to the person right infront of you. Take care and God bless you/ everyone!

Today is 08/11/21. I'm 53 years old. I loved this song when I was a teenager and I still love it today. Rick is mostly known for, "Jessie's Girl", which is a great song but Rick has many great songs. This is just one of the many! I have five of his albums, the old school 33 LPs, one cassette and one CD. I have enjoyed his music for 40 years now.
That's pretty cool man, I think that VHS and the old school stuff is better.
He is just as gorgeous and sumptuous as ever! I saw Rick back in the 80’s at blossom. Tremendous talent and energy.

"Don't Talk to Strangers" is a song written and performed by Australian musician Rick Springfield. This song was released as a single in March 1982, from the album Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet. It reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks, making it his second biggest hit in the United States after the #1 hit, "Jessie's Girl".
