It shows a lot of confidence and appreciation Adam's boss has for him to switch him to days. And good for Adam to speak up! It should take a week or so to acclimate and fortunately he's got 4 days off coming up! Happy birthday! Laundry gets piled up here and it's my least favorite chore. I love how much Angus loves his daddy. He isn't used to this new schedule either, and Adam should give him extra lovies! Your stir fry lunch and soup for dinner looked fabulous!

Your soup looked great! My mom’s beef vegetable soup was delish. My fave meal was always ham & beans, corn bread & fried potatoes! Glad Adam is on days! That’ll be a big blessing!

Change is always an adjustment, even if it is a good change(Adam's work schedule). As far as getting behind when you're sick, it's a real problem!! In 2022, I had covid twice & was sick for a year with no energy. The dishes only got done because of the dishwasher, but I fell behind on everything. It eventually got better though. I think you're doing as good as possible. ...It will get better 😊 it's great that Adam got on days!! Love to all you guys & the doggies too! 😄

@@justme5544 thank you. I went to the doctor today. She gave me a steroid shot in the hip, antibiotics, and nasal spray to use to clear up the infection. It was affecting my vision.
I have a non barking dog. She’ll grumble when dad is supposed to be home. I’ll have to say my mom’s green chile stew. Is my favorite.

Soups make such a great meal! I enjoyed seeing yours come together. I've been making black bean soup, chili, and stew a lot this winter. I've got a plan to make some split pea soup soon, too! :o)
I've never made split pea soup! Tucker would probably love it... If I make peas to go with a dinner, that's mostly what he eats!😆 I made some black bean soup for the first time the other day, and it was good!🤗

My favorite thing that my mom made was beef stroganoff. She used my Grandma's recipe but perfected it over the years. I've tried to make it myself, but it's never as good as my mom's was.

Congratulations Adam, video was great. I make a very similar soup, and I love it too, only difference was the Worcestershire Sauce, I’m going to try that next time. People used to think I was crazy putting the molasses in the soup, but it really made a difference. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week.

Your veggie soup looks delicious 😊. I always use canned veggies I'll have to try it with the frozen veggies. Favorite thing my mom made was her sausage and potato soup. She used about 6-8 potatoes about a half a gallon of milk onion powder and garlic powder and sauteed onions

P.S. My mom and grandma made so many good things! Life was easier back then, and ingredients lists were shorter. Would love it your followers would submit recipes and you could film trying some of them. Unfortunately, I don't have many saved after they both passed away. But I will look again, I might find something!

Found one! Its a dessert and so good with vanilla ice cream or just on it's own.
Apple Crunch:
5 medium apples
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1 T butter
1 egg
½ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
Slice apples in a 9” or 10” baking dish. Pile high. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar. Cream butter and 2/3 cup sugar. Beat egg and stir in. Sift flour, baking powder and salt and stir in. Drop dough by spoonfuls over apples. Bake 10 minutes at 425 and 20 minutes at 350. Also good with peaches.
And I found another one we frequently use, especially for holidays. Your subscribers that cook for families (Sammi) would love this.
Buffet Potatoes:
4 medium peeled russet potatoes
3 - 4 T. butter
Salt and pepper
1 T. chopped parsley (spice jar is fine, but it’s really good with fresh parsley)
2 cups grated cheese (sharp cheddar or medium, pretty sure Nana Ellie used sharp)
½ cup whipping cream
Cut potatoes lengthwise as for French fries. Use a 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Peel off about 4 feet of foil, and then another 4 foot piece of foil. Place foil inside the pan, being careful not to tear it. Place potatoes in the pan, scattering them. Dot with butter, salt and pepper, parsley. Sprinkle cheese over all. Pour cream over evenly. Bring up edges of foil to cover and seal tightly to make a closed package but don’t press down, as some air needs to circulate and steam. Place in oven for 1 hour at 425. This is a foolproof recipe. I’ve even left mine in the oven for an extra hour and it turns out wonderful! You can check to see if potatoes are done with a fork after an hour. This is great with steak, prime rib, or ham!

Hey y'all 👋 I'm a little late watching, but what a great video. Soup looked delicious 😋. My mom and grandma were very basic and really had no recipe. The one thing my grandma made that was amazing was her pinto beans. I can not replicate it and I sure miss her and eating them. My mom didn't have recipes either, but everything just tasted good. Again, we were just very basic. We ate things like hamburger patties that had been floured and pan fried, roast, meatloaf, spaghetti, tacos,etc. I think I've shared my pot roast soup with you.. my grandpa created a white person taco that my mom carried on the tradition, lol it's cooked ground hamburger meat seasoned with salt, pepper, onions garlic powder and chili powder. Once done add a can of ranch style beans. Smash some of the beans so it combines. Take this mixture and roll in a yellow corn tortilla and add shredded cheese (Colby Jack or cheddar). First you will want to dip your tortillas in a shallow pan of hot oil, drain on paper towels. This will make them easy to roll. Place the rolled tacos/burrito into a pan and bake until the cheese is melted. That's it! Simple and yummy 😋

😆 Isn't it awful!? We replaced the burners, so it's something in the wiring. I guess I'll just have to deal with it until we can fix it or replace it. 🤷🏻♀️😂
@@jess_andtheboys I have a flat top range, and can’t replace burners, so it has to be electrical. Turn it off and on a bunch of times and it works. Super annoying!
My Nanny made Vegetable soup and it was so good. No recipe and I never asked her. I'm 68 so I have had a lot of years and kicking myself. lol
