As someone who is playing LA on RU servers since it's release, I'd like to stress the importance and usefulness of leveling your stronghold (estate/mansion/whatever you'd like to call it). Make sure to invest your time and resources in leveling it up! Besides crafting items, it will give you discounts and boosts when leveling your gear, like spending less gold and silver, as well as resources needed for upgrading! This will be very beneficial, especially when you'll reach Tier 3.

How popular is Lost Ark in Russia?
Thanks! I was skeptical about building a good stronghold - my friend in Lithuania plays it but like me didn’t seem too keen on building it since most other games where they have this feature you only get small buffs like a 2% increase in something. I’ll build it thanks :)
As someone who has never played an mmo at length, is this game worth it? It caught my eye due to its perspective and I'm a big arpg player.
Dont forget guys, you can use the option RECYCLE on ur gears. Basically it moves ur current gear enhancement to a better gear that you have. So you can just keep enhancing ur current one then if you get a new better gear, just recylce. AFAIK it doesnt cost anything but silver/gold.
Im new to the game as well but i've watched alot of starter guides etc. He forgot to mention that part which is really helpful for ppl gearing up.
Very important, lol and he missed it. PVP also. But that's on par for him 😜.
Can you do that across gears of different level? I'd assume it's easier to upgrade lower level gears and then just transfer the upgrade to a high level gear

Can you ELI5? If you have better gear in your inventory not equipped, and you hit Recycle, it automatically dismantles your equipped gear and then puts on the better stuff from your inventory? Am I understanding right?
Isn't there a system where you can transfer the upgrades? If you recycle you lose that.

For the quest tips is incorrect, you only need to do MSQ the whole time to reach 50 no need to do any side-quest at all. This was a thing before they changed it but our version is already updated. At least that's how it has for us in the Beta (leveled 2 toons to 50 that week only doing Story Quests), in the RU and KR is the same.

amazing guide my dude! this is something i have been looking forward to a lot. Honestly the advanced class Deadeye.....so much fun. I played it during the beta and the way you have to move between your weapons and weave all of your cooldowns together, feeling like you have no true downtime between any of your weapons and you just need to know what to pull out at any moment in time. Was so thrilling, so exciting, and so dramatic....if some of yall didn't get to try it.....i would give it a little taste.
As someone who loves LoL, Diablo, and mmorpgs, this game is a dream come true
Same cuz I love the Diablo 3 isometric view and love the open world concept of mmorpg but never liked the camera view of most mmorpg. Lost Ark is a combination of best of both worlds.
It started with Diablo 1 for me and after all this time, even when I say I'm sick of these games, I find myself grinding my arse off and having a blast. No doubt this games looks to be another one.

funny is all the thing he explained, most of them are false information that will confuse you when the game launch. It's better to find guide from other channels that actually play the game in Russia or Korea server instead of watching this half baked video.

@@kahldris1228 I've played 50+ hours in diablo 1 2 and 3. 500+ in POE. I have 100+ in Lost Ark (Russia) This game feels and plays nothing like those 2 games at all. It's actually a lot closer to a game like Tera but with a ARPG view. If you were to change the view to classic MMORPG view, you would simply think it's just an action MMO game. It's a very very good game that feels in a class of its own.

I initially started off with Assassin since rogue classes are normally my favorite, but I tried a few others to see what they were all about. I fell in love with Soulfist after just a few minutes of playing it. The sounds and visual feedback from the skills and hits really resonated with me. Really fun class to play that has a nice blend of ranged and melee attacks. Soulfist will be my first class, but they all are pretty amazing to be honest. I wish I had the time to play them all. I think I eventually will level as many as I can just to mix things up and have fun.
if you will play pve, due to pve daily limitations it's best to have alternate characters. chaos dungeon runs was decreased to 1 run per day from 3 so you get less rewards, so in order to compensate this decrease you'll have to make alternate characters.

@@Shin_Ein I am also going to be maining Soulfist but just a word of advice as I've watched basically every video in existence at this point - Many refer to the Soulfist as a Hybrid jack of all trades master of none, which means we can't expect to be the top performers in basically any content. Not sure if that bothers you, annoys me just a little bit.
@@XBezerkerX Good to know, but I'm not terribly concerned about it being the best performer. As long as it's not broken to the point where it's unplayable then I'm good :)
@@Shin_Ein I don't think it's unplayable I think it's just one of those classes that many think 'sucks' and then there are a handful of people who are gods on that class. Kind of how like Warrior was on World of Warcraft.
I think im going to play that assassin demon blade one.... that seems sick! Then probably warrior, followed by a gunslinger! Just learned about this game, longtime wow player so it might be fun!

Rather then just talk about hearsay and rumors and passing it off as facts you tell us "yeah, I don't have the most experience with this, but what I've heard is "X""
It's just not something I really see today and as someone who is trying to learn as much as I can before I start I really appreciate that.
I installed lost ark yesterday but I knew nothing from the game, I only have watched some streamers but I really didnt know what they were doing. So I needed to learn basiclly everything beggining with the classes. After downloading it, I had a feeling that I shouldn't have installed the game cause of his immense complexity it contains. So, after searching for many videos in youtube, I found one that explained everything a noob players needs to know in a simple and informative way, with the necessary guide. Thats why I'm here to say thank you for saving me hours of learning.

Hope to test game out today. Never really took interest in Lost Ark until 2 days ago so I'm well behind on any news and game info. However I hope that it will be a game that I'll grow to enjoy. Aiming at soulfist or shadow hunter for my first character. Will see how it goes

@Vulkan I love your content and the quality that you put into them.
That said, there are some incorrect statements in this video. The one that stood out the most to me was when you were talking about the Gunslinger Advanced Class. You described it as Close Range and that's actually the opposite.
The Gunslinger is the exact same class as the Deadeye but with emphasis on long range rifle skills lol. It just makes it look like you didn't do your research here as if you watch ANY of the class videos they mention that and ANY class guides or "Who should I pick" videos, of which there are DOZENS, they ALL talk about Gunslinger being a long range version of Deadeye.

Unfortunately they removed the advanced class that I loved during the beta which was the summoner. However, on launch I've decided to go bard for the support feel that can still hang.

Good video overall, but should have talked about how it's not a typical MMO with the holy trinity early on, especially before going in to classes and describing the 3 Warrior classes as "Tank, Healer & DPS"
Yes, there is no such thing as tank or healer in Lost Ark...they are all (more or less) DPS and some are also supporters
@@Arodos You will need bard/paladin/painter in endgame especially tier 3 content, you get 1 healer per 3 dps on pt on average. It's required for clear.

@@helpy8973 Yes applies to support/healer only, you don't need tank, support classes have also big priority and it's super super easy to find any group to do whatever content. But on DPS they tend to be pretty picky. People literally beg for supports to join them for pve content.

Shadowhunter, soulfist, sorceress and gunslingers seem the most interesting to me. I can't wait to try these out. Sadly no Paladin female for now.

at least they are working towards creating the missing gender for the classes that are gender locked still.
Gunslinger was my "NEED TO PLAY THIS" class. I've always loved archers in video games, so I'll have to try the Sharpshooter at some point, although that class seems a lot more like a sniper with a bow than an actual archer from other RPGs.

You no longer need to complete any side quests in order to reach level 50. The recent patch on December 22nd has made it so that the main quest and the blue world quests alone are enough to reach level 50. No red emergency quests or yellow quests are needed at all anymore.
Also I would recommend being carful on your verbiage as this game doesn't have the "Holy 3" of Tank, Healer, and DPS. There are not real Tanks in this game or Healers. You have 2 Support classes coming to NA/EU on launch and that is as close to a true Healer this game has. and just cuz the Gunlancer has a Taunt and is tanky he does not and no not "Hold Agrro"

@@Vulkan_Gaming when i played first time on RU i didynt know what is what and i skipped main quests from lvl 30 to 50 basically :P Not best experience when you cant do any progres on lvl 50 cause lacking story quests :P
I'm tied between Deadeye and Gunslinger.... "rogue with guns" has always been my favorite way to play in stuff like Destiny or Diablo and the ranged options in this game are so overwhelming
I found Gunslinger way harder but more carry like in PVP as Deadeye is effective and easy. As for PVE all are effective I'd say. Deadeye has some nice Single and multi target dmg.
I am new to Lost Ark and needed to check out some beginner content to get started. Great content! I feel a lot more comfortable now that I know how the gameplay will look as I progress. Appreciate the clarity and delivery of this instruction video!

We have updated how pet features function. Originally, players would rent features on their pets each month and the pets would gain additional functionality. An epic-grade pet will be available for free as a quest reward in the early stages of the game. In our version, pet purchases are permanent and the features that were previously rented are now available through Crystalline Aura benefits. Auto-looting remains a default feature of pets, regardless of whether or not you have Crystalline Aura active.

I played Deadeye in beta and absolutely loved every second of it.
It's so weird, I tried Lost Ark like 4 times and never git past playing like 4 hours because it bored me so much. Everything just felt boring and didn't captivate me. But everytime I watch a video about Lost Ark I want to try it again because it looks good...
update: tried it on release and I am having a ton of fun. I am playing it a lot :)

@@hehexd4774 I would say this is more of an ARPG/ MMO hybrid and I love MMOs. I play a ton. I don't mind the leveling taking long or being boring, but if the gameplay itself feels boring, as well as emies and loot, then that's just how it is for me at least.

played the Beta, Played every class! For atleast 30mins each. (Tedious) but I didn't get on with the Mages or Ranged classes much
I ended up playing through to lvl40 with a paladin. And lvl38 with the demonblade (or whatever the name was)
Loved the game, bought a founders pack and can't wait to get started in February
I think I may give this game a shot and I like the Shadow Hunter as I tend to like those types of classes. Berserker looks pretty nice as well.
How does the game handle level disparity in the game? For example, I am level 30 and my friend is level 15. We want to play together. Does the mob level adjust so I can still earn xp?
in this game you rather get exp from quests than from mobs
You can't loose trying out a free game, but a little time. I would rather loose a little time than another $60 to a subpar product.

You may have covered this and I just missed it, but how is this for solo play? Do you really need to have friends to progress through the content or could a solo player manage everything they need and still have fun?

Said that you can solo mostly everything.
It gets harder later and depending on your class it could affect progress.
But ultimately it's doable.
But I'm mainly talking story.
You'll definitely want to actually make friends for some of the endgame activities
unless you really like pain and suffering or have really deep pockets lol.
I actually really like the trail system than the standard open world map style. Its really refreshing and gives of a cool dungeon feel.
Can wait for this game. I'm torn in a 3 way tie between the shadow hunter, soul fist and berserker. I love just goin in headfirst and just absolutely wreaking havoc upon the enemy. So I'll see.

You've got bard footage for the sorceress, and even have the summoner on screen at one point which won't even be playable at release.
Also, there is no real holy trinity in this game...
Almost sounds like you've never actually played LA...
There technically isn't a holy trinity in game but gunlancer tends to try and focus and group up enemies on him and the bard +paladin technically support/buff/heal. So low key they kind of do but focus things a bit more on dps.

A comment on the Holy Trinity talk and Paladins like Holy Paladins from WoW: They're not similar at all, there is no holy trinity in this game and healing is very limited unlike World of Warcraft where all you do is heal. Just want to throw this out there if you pick Paladin and expect to be a healer. 5% of what you do is healing at best.
How solo'able is this game? That is, what endgame content absolutely requires a premade? Thanks, and nice video!
You can run the whole game up to endgame solo and do some endgame things like Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids solo. You can find videos of people Soloing the Abyssal Dungeons but it is not recommended. With that being said all 3 of the things mentioned before also have a party finding system build into the game. The party finding system works in 2 ways. Quick find that just throws together a comp based on the classes and the Host and Pick style where one player host a party and pick members to join it. Both of these systems are cross server but not cross region to help with finding players.

Be careful calling Paladin a healer and Gunlancer a tank, you don't want to mislead people because they're not. There are no healers or tanks in this game, this isn't a game with the holy trinity of tank, healer, and dps. It's pretty much just dps and support, and yes some classes like Paladin have access to healing but they're not really a healer.
In end game they are taken for healing and support skills. Not any damage skills

Wardancer - Striker and Deadeye - Gunslinger. These arent different classes, they function exactly the same and are no different, the only difference is their gender and some visuals on their skills to make them distinct, but funtionally they are exactly the same. This is how Lost Ark is starting to get around the face that the classes are gender locked.

Incorrect, there are actual gameplay differences, gunslinger has no positional focus and is more useful with rifle while deadeye is played optimally at melee range and behind enemies with shotgun
Vulkan, you make it sound like there's a trinity based combat like in WoW. There are no tank classes - Gunlancer is a DPS class which has higher survivability, that's all. Paladin is not a healer class - it's a support, and it primary boosts the party damage output, the minor healing is just a bonus.
The whole combat is built around everyone doing the mechanics. If you don't do mechanics and receive damage - no support will be able to heal you up, no tank will be able to take damage for you.
This type of misinformation is what causes wrong expectations and negativity down the line.

as this game is 3 years old by now and runs on unreal 3 literally every potato PC or Laptop should run it fine, i am sure you have one of those laying around
its just a pay to win game, buy stuff with real money :p just like blade and souls when it hit western
Before you start talking complete nonsense at least do some research. I don't really think you understand what true "pay2win" game even looks like. From what I see you will not have any problems with main PVE content. Someone who payed some cash will have a small edge in PVE but moving too quickly will be a problem because this game gets a lot harder. Without enough practice or experience they will still get stomped in harder PVE content. In PVP stats get adjusted so everyone is on equal ground. Etc etc...

It's a free to play game with so much content that people sit there and have fun even after 100hours without touching some different type of content it offers. Lost Ark may have a few ways a player can spend money, but the game doesn't feel designed to hinder you to get your money. You can spend nothing and drown in an abundance of content. I played Lineage 2, Aion and even B&S. You comparing NCSoft games that are known for their awful stores and grind to something that doesn't do that.
It's the same thing with Genshin Impact where many say "Well hurr durr it's p2w". This comment is already long so I will not explain why it isn't. These two games have such meaningless "pay2win" options from a f2p users point of view that it's funny seeing someone complaining or comparing to something like B&S. I am happy that we have these options instead of something NCSoft does often. Whales paying a lot of cash in these games will not affect me and their money means developers have money to continue expanding and improving their game.
@@grimoireweiss5203 its pay to win if you can speed items and if there is pvp. Genshin has no pvp so no benefit of the money you put in.

This game was so unenjoyable to play, i dont understand the hype at all. It felt like a mobile/arcade game. Every attack has that cheesy stunning jerking animation on enemies. Pretty sure enemies are synced as well. !0 of the same enemy on the screen, they will all take the same action at the exact same time.
This is objectively correct from everything I’ve seen. I hope it’s good but currently it seems rather shit + possible pay to win.
I recommend you get to level 50 and try killing a boss. Maybe you will have some fun doing that. (they use more than 1 attack)
Yes story is a bit boring due to poor translations but it is fast and easy. After that u have some juicy and fun foes to slain
This is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Combat is so satisfying but it’s definitely more of an ARPG combat style where the whole point is to group mobs and blow them up.
This was very helpful. I love the fact the monthly subscription is optional
