  • Rwanda, situated in East Africa and often referred to as "the land of a thousand hills," has risen as a beacon and a powerhouse on the African continent. Progress has been marked by an uptick in widespread health improvements and gender equity and a strong COVID-19 response that limited lives were lost.
Since 2009, Global Health Corps (GHC) has worked in Rwanda in partnership with the Ministry of Health and a wide range of NGOs countrywide to develop the next generation of health leaders there. GHC fellows work to improve nutrition, tackle supply chain challenges, spearhead health worker training and girls’ empowerment initiatives, and more. GHC's growing network of alumni represents a bright future for the nation.
