    Hi can you do a video on how to wire up the batteries when you first get them , I put the two reds in the middle and the black with the outer negative and red with the outer positive I thought I did everything right but when I hooked it up something popped loud idk what I did wrong

    • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  Před rokem

      I will see what I can do. Yes you did wire it wrong. In this case you needed to wire it in line meaning positive to negative when your connecting batteries together. By doing so you change it from 12 volt to 24 volt. If you need 36 volt you go to the end(or beginning) and connect the positive of its positive or negative if it's negative to its opposite to increase the voltage. Do not overvolt it. Goodluck. I will make a video ASAP.

    • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  Před 2 lety +1

      You have two other possibilities. The battery could be low on amps. It may show a full charge but you need to test the amps. To test the amps you have to use a load tester. I use a load tester for a motorcycle it is more sensitive for smaller batteries. You need to teat each battery not all at once because you will overload the tool. Look on the side of the battery it will tell you what the battery amperage is supposed to be. The other possibility is the motor could be bad. I saved a old motor from a razor and just plug it in instead of the other motor to see if it works. If it spins then I know the motor is bad. I hope this helps. Thanks, Jason..

    • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Get a volt meter and test the voltage at the battery while charging. If your not getting voltage at the battery move up to the next junction and see if you have power. Keep doing this until you find the break in the curcit. You can just test the charger to see if it has power but the holes are to small for the probe to go into so you need to find something smaller to fit. You need to be careful not to short out the charger. Hopefully this helps. Goodluck.👍

    Good for a start, but further testing procedures are necessary. In testing the control module leads I have continuity through all tests, but the motor power feeds do not respond to throttle input. The motor responds to direct battery feed. I have replaced the control module without result and no longer get a green light on the throttle. Did replacing the control module finish your repair? • @alloutbikes
      @alloutbikes  Před rokem +1

      This is a little difficult to diagnose without seeing it in person. Did you replace the batteries with the original or aftermarket? If aftermarket make sure it's using the same amps. If the amps fall under a certain amount it doesn't have enough power to activate the relay in the control module sending power to the motor. Do this first make sure the brake lever is all the way open. I have had several were the lever was slightly pulled and activated the kill switch in the lever. Second make sure all the connections are plugged all the way in. Third take the batteries out and have then load tested for proper amperage at your local Batteries Plus store. Fourth test the motor with one of the batteries BUT MAKE SURE THE QUAD IS OFF THE GROUND BEFORE DOING THIS!!!! If the motor spins at this point we know the motor is good. If the motor is good and the batteries test good under load and not just voltage and the kill switch is not activated(you can try unplugging it) Then you may have gotten a bad control module. I have gotten 3 bad controllers in a row before. Good luck!👍

      You only have two more possibilities. First the motor can be bad. You can try to test the motor by connecting it directly to the battery. Warning!!!!!!! Make sure the wheels are off the ground and nothing is near the chain. It will take off if your not careful. Red wire to the positive black to the negative. If the motor does not work then you have your answer. If the motor works then check the safety switch on the brake lever. If the brake lever is not fully open it will make clicking sounds and not go. The switch itself my be bad and a new brake lever may be needed. I have had at least two cases were the control module was bad out of the box. I am confident that your problem is the motor or brake lever switch. Good luck! And be careful.
