Out of all the movies, documentaries on Veerappan, this one stands tall. It has covered the views of all the parties involved, Veerappan's wife, the forest officials, police officers, veerappan's gang people and the villagers who are the real victims in this fight. I have heard people telling stories of him as I am from Karnataka-Tamilnad border district and here people see Veerappan as a grey character rather than a criminal. This documentary has shown all the sides and facets of the truth.

Superb work, Selvamani and Team. Extra ordinary work, deserve all the awards. It's no lesser than a thriller series. Have never seen a documentary series with such good narration and un-biased view

Kudos to Cinema express to interview in documentary director.. Being an avid fan of documentaries I can say this one is one of THE best. Great that the docu didnt have any bias inspite of the controversy involved. The questions that came from behind the camera were resonating with what viewers had. Would be great if it becomes big like elephant whisperer

Well made documentary. But they should have also concentrated more on Police attrocities against Village people. For example : Veerapan side killings are explained in detailed manner with more screen time but the police attrocities are just crossed with few dialogues for namesake.

Wonderful documentary...It was like reliving childhood memories. The stories which I heard and read in newspapers and magazines came live in front of my eyes.

Awesome documentary 👏 was reeled in till the last. Very good direction and editing. I specifically liked documentary has people speaking out in their perspective. RIP 🙏 to the many villagers and police officers who lost their souls.

30:40 Sudhir didn't ask what he wanted to ask here, I feel. May be I am wrong. But if it is so, I am glad he thought about it atleast.
Exactly what I thought about those two moments in this otherwise excellent docu series. Both during interview of Muthulakshmi. One after DFO Srinivas death.. Where her change in sitting posture (may be due to her age, getting tired of sitting like that for long time) coupled with the BGM and her response to Selvamani's question at the end of the series, painted a picture about her which I am sure is unintentional. I agree it added up to the drama and tension, but I wish Selvamani edited it out. So that this series didn't comment on the happenings but just presented the facts as told by the characters.
Excellent interview. Enjoyed listening to both..

Well crafted making Selva sir, though a question - I hope your last comment in the docu movie was to the STF or some other and to Veerappan 😊
Wish you best of luck for your next bright opportunities, I trust you will shine like diamond.

It wasn't complete and biased because it can't be done that way
    But overall,
    It is a good film

This director clearly tried to portray Veerappan as something he's not by asking his wife - What age she got married. Totally unnecessary.
You sold out your race to make this documentary. Didn't even talk or ask questions about Police brutality using villagers to catch Veerappan.

What was the reason for showing Muthu Lakshmi as a ordinary simple tribal women. She not an ordinary person. Plenty of money wealth she had. May be to get sympathy from viewers.

Glorification of a serial murderer, poacher and killer of the forest. Could've been dealt with better.

STF police force had done more crimes in the hunt for Veerapan.
Rapes , molestations , fake encounters , inhumane tortures.
Police did many attrocities against Tribal people. Say thanks to the director for not going into detail about police attrocities.

@@Karthik-mw8kn This is your typical commie / Naxalite opinion without any substance whatsoever. Sure, it is very possible that police toed the line over the 15 years of them operating in the forest.
Does that justify any of what Veerappan did? Does it make Veerappan's story a "moral grey"?
Absolutely not. Anyone with a vague sense of moral righteousness would tell you that the guy was a maniacal monster who engaged in ruthless killings of elephants, humans and trees.

The director has done everything, he can to make it objective as possible and as he says this is not a veerapan biopic, this documentary is about how the hunt was unraveled. Lastly you might be correct but there are three sides to a story.

Average documentry....director has no clarity of thought or narration...its a document for netflix with worldwide audience..but ditector has made a documentry for kalaingar tv level...all in all a WASTED OPPURTUNITY...
