The key to successfully organizing your garage is to create a solid plan. This plan will ensure you choose the right storage systems as well as preventing you from wasting money on storage solutions that may not work for you. Most importantly, this plan will give everything a “home” so when it comes time to actually organize, you already know where to put everything.
    I follow a process I’m calling I.D.E.A.
I - Inventory: take an inventory of everything in your garage
D - Design: design a plan, your storage solutions, and your process for implementing your plan
E - Execute: acquire or build your storage solutions and get them installed
A - Arrange: purge, sort, and store your stuff according to your plan

Where did you get the fasteners for non-slat wall mounts? I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Thanks in advance. Ps your garage looks great

Thanks for the compliment! I spent a ton of time planning this and I have to say it was worth it. I couldn't be happier with the garage.

Awesome video series just what I needed to assist me in the process!! Also I have been looking for a program that will assist me in the layout, can't wait to get home tonight and try out the sketchup program... Thank you so much!

Good video! I like these cabinets but I have a 14 inch foundation ledge that sticks out about 4 inches all around the bottom of my garage walls. I'm thinking the cabinets will be too high if mounted on wall above the ledge. Any advice?

I have the same issue, planning to have the cabinets on the ground and secured to the wall via a 2x4 on edge across multiple studs. What did you end up doing?

@@chivimbe That's my plan too. I will fill the gap behind the cabinets with trim pieces to make it look more flush or "built-in". Example here: czcams.com/video/6-1qi6f1Uhs/video.html
My whole NewAge cabinet set is still in boxes waiting on getting my garage floor done in epoxy coat.

I like your workbench and cabinets, are these custom built by yourself or I can buy them from somewhere ?

The results are excellent! Did you list descriptions and a source for the various pieces to put in your garage?

Ron, thanks for the feedback. I just added links to the products I used to the description of all the videos in the series. I sourced it from various suppliers. The Wall Control is sold direct and I saved a lot of money purchasing most of the cabinets as a set from Costco. You can order those cabinets online without a membership. Just be sure to have a helper ready upon delivery. I had a rude awakening when they dropped a 1400 lbs pallet in my alley and told me to have a nice day!

ToolboxDIY Great, thank you. I’ll check those out. I never knew Costco even carried cabinets. I’ll keep that in mind. 😊 That would suck just dropping it off like that. Again thanks for the quick follow up.
