For example, all produce must be radiated before going to the market, which destroys, among other things, the vitamin C in them. Not to mention the chemicals added to foods, and to the soil, rather than having to rotate crops to replenish soil nutrients. If you're one of those lucky people who can eat anything and still feel great, you would probably not understand what others suffer because if the abuse of our food supply, and the need to preserves shelf life in unnatural ways. You probably meant things like supplements used for building big muscles in combination with gym workouts, for vanity.

I will say though, as much as we would like to believe it is unique to our century, it is not. Check out the book "Fathers Know Best" about the early church fathers (year 800 and earlier). In the early 5th Century (400s) one of the church fathers was lamenting about the "feminization" of men...men not knowing how to be men... You can also look at other early empires like Greek and Roman that had similar problems.

I can watch Bishop Sheen all day long! He’s so interesting to listen to. He doesn’t preach like he is reading a script. He just talks to you like he means it. He explains things with examples that you can understand and makes sense. I wish he were alive and preaching today. I wonder what he would say about what’s happening in our world today? His sermons are timeless. He looks just like my grandfather that has passed away a long time ago.
Although I belong to the reformed faith, I really enjoy listening to this guy. I knew somebody where I used to go to church at (about 30 years ago) who used to listen to him. Then he had cassette tapes. Now all of Archbishop Fulton Sheen's material is on CZcams. One of the beauties of modern technology.
This man is a supreme speaker!! And he gives his utmost for God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit!! Brilliant, poignant, witty, intelligent, and so well versed in Gods Word and His understanding!!
The truth is unchanging. What changes is how the lies are communicated. Archbishop Sheen was able to speak the Truth because he knew it and believed it. He also lived it. We do not have many today who believe the Truth, even those who are supposed to be the shepherds but are instead raving wolves. If he lived today, he would never be invited to speak in any Catholic venue and would be crucified as Christ was for speaking the Truth.
All of my friends growing up did seem to worship specific female body parts. The girls I've known do genuinely seem to love the whole man. I never put 2 and 2 together. This man thinks on a much higher level.
This is not true anymore [if it ever was]. I hear girls all the time talking about what a "cute butt" a guy has, how muscular he is, his abs, his hair, his tan [big one] JFK junior was slobbered over for his looks only - it's the same now. Girls today will marry a guy for his looks, and they will vote for presidents exclusively on their looks. Then there's fame, an even bigger aspect women will gush over, to the exclusion of other traits . If you've seen any beatle concert footage, it's hard to argue this one. Neither of these remotely included the "whole man". As much as I like Fulton, and from my own observations, I think he's dead wrong on this one.
Women love the idea they project onto a guy. They pay attention only to a few qualities of his character and dream about the rest. Men lust over the female body, women lust over the male spirit. But it's lust either way. Failure to realize this puts all the blame on men when it's a problem with both. Immaturity looks different in men and women.

passing thought here, history doesn't seem to record 'men'. It kinda records a single individual that stood out at the period, just one person could have stood out in an entire century but with time, the net sum of these people that stand out se em to give an impression that men or women of olden days were all 'heros'. Some how i kinda feel in our age, we are as we always have been through out history. We are broken and confused and we seem to think it's progress. Next century, they'll also complain about how we were the standards of greatness, when im truth, they only think that because of the few individuals that stand out during our time.

A powerful message that our youth and young generations need to hear!
The truth is unchanging. What changes is how the lies are communicated. Archbishop Sheen was able to speak the Truth because he knew it and believed it. He also lived it. We do not have many today who believe the Truth, even those who are supposed to be the shepherds but are instead raving wolves. If he lived today, he would never be invited to speak in any Catholic venue and would be crucified as Christ was for speaking the Truth.
Bishop Sheen is like a grandfather to me. Thank God for letting me the chance to watch his sermons.
No limits, no boundaries, no freedom. Christ is freedom.
All of my friends growing up did seem to worship specific female body parts. The girls I've known do genuinely seem to love the whole man. I never put 2 and 2 together. This man thinks on a much higher level.
This is not true anymore [if it ever was]. I hear girls all the time talking about what a "cute butt" a guy has, how muscular he is, his abs, his hair, his tan [big one] JFK junior was slobbered over for his looks only - it's the same now. Girls today will marry a guy for his looks, and they will vote for presidents exclusively on their looks. Then there's fame, an even bigger aspect women will gush over, to the exclusion of other traits
. If you've seen any beatle concert footage, it's hard to argue this one. Neither of these remotely included the "whole man". As much as I like Fulton, and from my own observations, I think he's dead wrong on this one.

Women love the idea they project onto a guy. They pay attention only to a few qualities of his character and dream about the rest. Men lust over the female body, women lust over the male spirit. But it's lust either way.
Failure to realize this puts all the blame on men when it's a problem with both. Immaturity looks different in men and women.

Joe Lusk Everyone is born to become a saint and not all Christians who lived good lives and are in heaven are officially saints . To be officially declared a saint you need to have two documented miracles.

passing thought here, history doesn't seem to record 'men'. It kinda records a single individual that stood out at the period, just one person could have stood out in an entire century but with time, the net sum of these people that stand out se em to give an impression that men or women of olden days were all 'heros'. Some how i kinda feel in our age, we are as we always have been through out history. We are broken and confused and we seem to think it's progress. Next century, they'll also complain about how we were the standards of greatness, when im truth, they only think that because of the few individuals that stand out during our time.

Sermons were always this good, we all have to listen. When we were young we chose not to listen, instead, we follow the crowd to whatever is trending and separate us from the light of Christ!

I was a teenager when Cardinal Sheen made this speech. There were religious cults, free love hippy movements, and chaos in more of the universities then not. But I gove thanks I was led by God in his way not all the youth's ways to study at 17 -18 at Alvernia College. I am sorry,but youth today are the same crybabies. I would nevwer be the best speaker At a wqorld youth day or world year of the family because I'd lay out the truth of how St. John the Evangelist himself with two children,Saint Edith Stein and her sister. Now, he was my Adviser at Freedom High School and he helped me. My parents went to Alvernia College at 8:00 at night and Saint Claire came happily to meet them and help enroll me. Yes that is truth.
