- I get asked a lot are the 37s any good in the winter or do you need to take them off and run stock tires to get anywhere. I try to explain it the way I can in the video.

As a Canadian thats owned at least a dozen trucks and tried nearly every tire brand possible over the years. The width and rubber compound matters 100x more then the diameter.
For example, I've had my F150s on 35x12.5 in winter. They ABSOLUTELY SUCK. They are too wide for the weight of the truck. You float way too much. In winter, I go back to the factory 275 width Duratracs. Night and day difference for snow and ice driving.
For the F350s, it's a different story. The 12.5s are much better because they've got a lot more weight on them so it's about the same as having a 275 on the lighter F150.
The Falken At3w and the Duratracs are the only tires I'll run in winter. I don't care what anyone says they're the two best non-dedicated snow tire you can use.
Just into my second year with duratracs
They got loud
Between 80 and 90 its wild but all other speeds its fine
I dont care much really tho
I kind of miss real winter tires because I dont have the same confidence with these
Just tired of dealing with 2 sets on 2 vehicles.
Yes I agree. I used to run Grabber at2s and they were good but now I have Wildpeaks and they are even better for a non snow tire. I use wildpeaks as my summer tires and Duratracs as my winters. I live in an area where we get 4-7 feet of snow and the Duratracs are the best.
I picked up a set of these as i have been following your subscription. i just went snowmobiling in the U.P. last weekend pulling a 26ft enclosed trailer never put the truck into 4 wheel drive and was able to pull the truck and trailer through parking lots and fields loaded with snow. Thank you for the recommendation.
I got the falken wildpeak at3w’s for my 4runner based on your recommendation and they are amazing! Thanks again
I bought a set of Falkens right after you did and totally agree that they are great all around tire. Mine are 35's on 18" wheels on a Super Duty diesel. your advice is the reason I got these. Thanks!
My new F350 will be here in a few weeks. Really having a hard time picking between the Falkens in a 35 or Toyo Open Country AT III on factory 18 inch wheels. I want the quieter tire on the road.
Great video man! Greetings from Manitoba
Great performance out of those tires....hope you get moved into your new place soon...thumbs up
Great video Boss! Thanks!
Bruce.
I like ur Binky on the dashboard that's nice
Some B-Roll driving action of your truck in the snow with a drone would be epic
I run 35/12.5/20 on my truck all year round but in winters I have the same size Venom Ice Hunters that are studded.
You can also get them in 37 as well and are one of only a few true winter tires on the market in those sizes.
Вот он настоящий Пикап, Машина на все случаи жизни как говорится, молодец мужик, уважаю твой выбор!
I just bought a used 2018 F-250 last Friday with only 9k miles in showroom condition. I live in northern NJ and bought it is southern VA. Friday night on the way back they were pre treating the roads and it got covered in salt, then we got 2 feet of snow. The poor truck, it’s pissed and wants to go back to VA.....LOL!
35' with new Rims. Nice.
3:11 🙀🙀🙀 the tires work!?!?! I’m flabbergasted
That’s one nice truck
If you tap into your abs on the passenger side and wire it into your upfitter switch you can full disable your traction control
I used to have the General Grabber at2s and they were good. I have been running Flakens on my truck and they are alot better.
The grabber at2s would slide on ice but the falkens do not as much.
I put my stocks in my ram if it’s a bad bad storm just so I don’t risk scratching my 22x12x35’s but that’s the only reason if I did but I have 35 mt’s on my stocks I just air down to 55-60 psi not 80 in the snow
No matter that truck is a beast
50 all 4 37 military tires on 16.5. With lockers on it'll do anything. 400 a set from national guard wholesale
Never thought I would be this person but... FIRST
Hahahaha hell yeah!
The paci is a clean touch
What temp does the high idle automatically come on at?
I was wondering if those tires were any Falken good in the snow...
What is your axle ratio. And how many transmission problems do you think you would have with a western wideout plowing snow for 24 hours at a time.
Also do you fuel treat every time you fuel up. Thanks, great content,. Take care and stay safe.😀
I have 3.55. Dint really see there being any issues at all. I only treat a few times a year.
Try the toyo at3’s
1:42 FOH it’s no tread on the tires & are they even snow rated???
I have a lifted f250 on 38x12.5x20 all terrain tires with deep tread & they kill in the snow
I see a F450 coming soon
Ru watching ur boy this weekend with ur binky lmao
Haha he’s there again.
Very impressive! What tire pressures do you normally run in the rears, the full 80 psi?
Nope I’m 50 in front and 55 in rear.
@@workplaytv Good to know, thanks.
How much did this truck cost you?
Need to plow that driveway lol
I got a 20 platinum whats your opinion I want to keep my stock rims but bigger tires maybe 35s with that ready lift what ya think 🤔
Would be great man I have always run 35s with no level and loved it. Just get the caster shims if you do that level.
Look into 295/65/20 if your interested in the 35-37” size range. You get a better load carrying capacity, and in some cases longer warranty being a metric size.
I have the exact same truck and i run 35”x12.50 x20 on aftermarket rims with the truck bone stock no issues what so ever
I’ve customized so many cars and trucks I’m just over it costs a ton of money and you end up screwing the vehicle up. I just leave them stock now with 2 kids don’t have the time or money haha
Idk how you end up screwing it up unless you bought cheap parts or don’t know how to install something correctly 😂
Some of you might think im crazy for doing this, but ive gone upwards of 90mph in the snow in the past. No i do not have a death wish. Ive only gone that fast because of a 3 lane interstate that no one was on but me. Once I saw a vehicle i started slowing down to a safer speed.
DON'T JUDGE🤣🤣
The truck throw many rock chips and chip up the paint? Mud flaps pry help?
Not bad
Wheels for sale.... 450 in your future 🤔
Do I see a F450 in the near future 😎
Hmmmm
MAX AND RUBY.🎹
What is your wheel width? 20x9 or 20x10?
20x9
Take it easy with Bauer’s truck, he will get mad if you hurt it.
Are you in 2WD or 4WD in the video?
4wd
What’s your thoughts on plowing with 37’s?
Personally I’d stick to 35s. But the 37s would give you more ground clearance you will need to adjust your plow bracket
I run a 2020 f250. I run 275/65r20 duratracs.I service a large amount of commercials. So it’s not uncommon for me to hit 50-60mph during my runs. I’m contemplating trying a different brand/size. I would like a bigger tire for ascetics. I’m just afraid that if I get into a 35/37 I’ll start having drifting issues. I love my duratracs, but I go thru a set every year.
I have 47s on my F350 don't have any trouble in the snow
lol 47s?
@@workplaytv yeah 47 inch Nittos trail grapplers n a 9 inch lift
@@scottblake6850 holy shit!
NEVER GiVE UP.🎹
Are your next tires gonna be 37's??
Nope
@@workplaytv 35's
Whats your reason to go back to 35’s?
No Carli system yet?
Not keeping the truck
Never went through with the Carli system, eh? What happened?
Didn’t see me keeping the truck long enough to justify the purchase
Watching this video while camping down in the Florida Keys makes me cringe😃
Hahaha yeah me too knowing you are on the beach!
Why you selling them?
Lol hmmmm
