greatest is subjective. He’s certainly in the conversation with guys like Eddie Van Halen, Hendrix, Clapton etc…. There’s probably about 20 or so in that upper echelon.

The original singer on these was better but Turner rocks. Man, that last note on the studio version where the singer goes "Liaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!"

I know right? Mark Boals was and still is a beast, love his work with Iron Mask too, his voice displays so much fury and intensity, without discarding any kind of technique. Extremely underrated out of all the singers I know, definitely top 10 in my opinion

I don't know what took the filming crew but it has to be hands down the worst live show pro shot I've ever seen, so much so it's hillarious. Incredible version though, even accounting for the overdubs.

this song is about guitarist john norum ripping off yngwie's style and calling it his own.
That's a good one, but it's about Marcel Jacob.

and i might add he played in rising force bassist role and had spin off bands yes but not anything to do with the song liar . yngwie showed norum how to arpeggiate and he basically cloned his style calling it his own
I talked to Jeff Scott Soto. He was pissed that Yngwie wrote that song about Marcel. I could also see that it being the case for Norum.
Yngwie is/was kinda friends with Norum so I doubt it. They even had photoshoots together in the Swedish music mag OKEJ back in the '80s, hardly any animosity. Norum also came more from the Michael Schenker and Gary Moore schools whereas Yngwie came from Blackmore and Uli Jon Roth.
