- So we finally got another trailer for the next Dragon Age Game! It is now called Dragon Age: The Veilguard and here is my reaction.

The last shot of the dragon at the end, is either going to be a Great dragon or a god. And looks like they are in the Black City…. 7 pillars with the gods icons ! With darkspawn so the black city IS Arlathan and it’s in the deep roads under the titan clouds. Maybe. Or maybe the city rises up from the deep roads.

So i know a lot of people didn’t like the tone of this trailer much. It wasn’t favorite of the reveals … but I’m still hopeful gameplay and the actual tone of the game will be good. Only time will tell.
The tone did throw me off a bit but by the second watch, I stopped paying attention to it and started 💰 by more attention to the companions we are getting. I understand why people are upset about the trailer not really reflecting that of a dark, epic fantasy but I also want to wait for the gameplay watch before I form any opinion of on that. I am hopeful.

looking at it for what it is ( A companion trailer) I think theres definitely some interesting designs and characters. Smart to hold out for the full picture though forsure
I have been holding out on full opinion until I see gameplay! But some research behind the scenes it seems very positive with story and how it actually plays. Fingers crossed!
They have released a 20 second in game segment, and it looks like the trailer
I loved the trailer. The trailer was from Varric and Scout Harding's perspective so because they are goofy, the trailer was goofy.

Yes Varric went from blond hair to black and gray hair. Apparently his hair color changed from his normal blond in 2 games to black and greasy looking
It looks like the Detective and Necromancer are mages. The Mage Killer and Harding are rogues. And the Warden and Dragon Hunter are warriors. I'm not sure what the Veil Jumper will be. Then again, they might not use strict classes for companions as they have in the past.
I would love to see multi class come back personally. It looked like Bellara might be a rogue with some magic there which would make sense as she’s a veil jumper.
@@LadyRav3nGaming It's possible, at least for the protagonist, that they come at it similarly to how they did in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Through character creation and leveling, you could spec into talents from different classes. It did make building your character fun in some ways.
i've seen the trailer. i didn't like it and something is off about it. it does not help that most of the original team and creators left, don't trust these new guys. i've been wanting to see the northern thedas for a while but im going to wait till the gameplay or even wait till next year to buy the game

I always played as a mage so i will play one here as well.
And im really curuious if there will be any effect on magic or mages, that solas is trying to tear down the veil 🤩

I am not sure. It does also seem as if we will be possibly fighting multiple gods so that will be interesting. I play every class at least once but my faves are rogue and mage. It will be interesting
Literally nobody I would want my character to romance (except for maaaybe the mage killer guy. He more I watch the trailers the more I am like maybe LOL.) and why do they need a detective? Solas is supposed to be trying to end the world and they need a detective? I hope the gameplay is good because this really looks like something I would buy on Black Friday for like less than $10.
Just popping in here to say: All companions are romanceable. They are pretty much going to be pan/bi, so no matter your Rook, you will be able to get your cuddles in with whomever you want. No restrictions based on gender, race, etc.
Like Dragon age 2. Well except for Varic and Aveline but I do think Varic won’t be Romanceable again. I hope Harding is though. Either way, just like the other three games, I plan to romance everyone that the allows me to 😝
@@LadyRav3nGaming Yup all 7 companions are romanceable, including Harding. Lucanis is my first target, Davrin my second, and Taash my third. Cause, damn, their models look great.
I Liked it i´m going to see how the gameplay comes out on tuesday but it´ll be fun to come back to the Dragon age universe and its characters and story in this fantasy world.
I agree. It’s been too long.
Not like 2 and 3 were as dark as the first one but this is a little too Disney. Hopefully they jsut flopped on the trailer...

I have read one comic and one novel and that’s enough for me. I’ve been playing these games since 2009 when DAO came out. The games are good enough for me

@@MalarikFilms I have read Tevinter Nights but I admit that my middle-aged brain doesn't retain information like it used to so if I have time over the Summer, I may try to read it again so that I'm more familiar with things
