Twinsanity being the worst of the 3D platformers is a take I haven't seen too often for sure.

It's probably one of my favorites precisely because the OST is so much fun to sing along acapela style while playing, so it's rather odd to in my PoV to see someone complain about it being one of the worst.
I didn’t like twinsanity back in the day but even I recognize that it should be much higher up on this list than it is.

WOW, I've never come across that many CZcamsrs who say that Crash Twinsanity is one of the lesser games. I'm not entirely convinced of the platforming problems you've had with the game, but I do think that it's a bit more nuanced in how jumps are made with timing. Quick succession for higher double jump and more spaced out button presses for longer double jumps. The music, although I enjoy it, I'll give you that. Other than those points, I just disagree with the placement. Keep up the great videos.
Whoa, ok ... seeing Twinsanity *that* low on the list feels like an insult - especially with it being lower than Wrath of Cortex, Titans/Mind over Mutants, AND Crash Purple of all things!
The game is flawed, buggy and needed a lot more time for development but it was immensely funny, the acapella soundtrack is unique and perfect for the game's tone, and the more open levels were a risk that paid off.
It needs a remaster for sure! I’d love to see the scrapped content about going into Coco’s mind/dream and visiting another dimension where they meet other versions of themselves (the scrapped storyboard scenes are on CZcams, the username was something with Nina in it).

Honestly, I love Twinsanity. Personally, I disagree with the soundtrack being bad. The fact it's all acapella makes it stand out in a very interesting way. Also it is comedy gold. Without a doubt the funniest of the entire series. So many jokes land in that game.
I can't for the life of me understand how low you put Twinsanity. To this day, I think the game is genuinely great and really funny.

Personally I think Crash Twinsanity is *way* too low, and in no universe would I rank it below Wrath of Cortex or especially Crash Purple. It does have its issues and glitches due to being forced to be rushed, but for a more sandbox-esque take on Crash I think it works very well, and it at least doesn’t have terrible and forced vehicle segments like WoC does. As for the soundtrack…I mean, subjectivity aside, even as someone who’s not particularly fond of acapella, it works well for the game’s more zany tone, and the boss battle themes in particular actually slap hard.
At least we can both agree with Crash 3 being the best game in the series though, with Crash 2 and 4 being *very* close behind.

Twinsanity is pure comedy though and for that, I love it.

The remake of CTR is completely different from the original. So much new content. It’s the Smash Bros of Crash. Everyone is here. Big miss not including it.
Yeah, it pretty much has all the characters and most of the tracks from Crash Nitro Kart as well, along with the tons of other tracks that were adding in future grand prix. I do wish the game had more content from Crash Twinsanity though, since we never got Evil Crash, the Evil Twins or Madame Amberly.
The fact that CTR Nitro Fueled did NOT come to PC/Steam is criminal. I've played a handful of the Mario Karts (including 8) and still think CTR is the better kart game.
Yeah, it’s honestly very bizarre that it never came to PC, especially when the N’Sane Trilogy and 4 eventually did.

Twinsanity isn't a FANTASTIC game by any means, but it certainly has a lot more life, effort and creativity put into it than *Crash Purple* of all things.

Twinsanity would be a great game if it got remastered, so much content was scrapped due to running out of time. Some storyboard animations of it are here on CZcams, I believe the username of the dev that uploaded it was FakeNina.

I’ve never been more disappointed by a mobile game failing than I was with Crash On The Run. I even bought the stupid Biker Jacket when it first launched, that’s how much I believed this would work and….well.
At least I got to see what crash would look like if he went insane and skinned Spyro for a costume.

Exactly, Crash died after ps1 era (exception: Crash Bash was trash and not from ND). It's not magic anymore... Crash is definitely not improving anymore because of advances in graphics

What was the point in rescuing Tawna in the first place? And what was the point in bringing Tawna back in the later Crash games? In my honest opinion, if Tawna was never meant to be rescued in the first place, Crash would have left her at Dr. Cortex's headquarters and Tawna needs to be killed off forever. Tawna is such a useless and pointless character.

OK, you showed how unaware with this series you are at the start of the Twinsanity section.
Naughty Dog did NOT hand the IP over to Travelers Tales. They just stepped away from Universal, leaving Crash in their hands... Which was a mistake.
Universal then chucked the IP around so many companies, which is what led to the incredibly inconsistent quality of games during the 2000's.

Okay, the takes on Twin Sanity are very harsh. But, I can see what you mean. Like, you’re right but man it’s hard for me to hate this game simply on what the dev originally wanted. Does not make up for a final product but If it were my choice twin sanity would still be above a lot of other Crash games.

I only played Wrath of Cortex but I loved every minute that I played of it. I was in the hospital when I was a kid and they had a ps2 along with Wrath of Cortex and whenever I could leave my room to go to the playroom, I would go in there and play Wrath of Cortex as much as possible. I also played it in my room on one of the rollable ps2 units that they had. It was such a fun game for me
4, despite its issues when you try to 100% it, being so high up is testimony that we need Crash 5 to one day exist.

the ranking is completely different from the rest of the fanbase pretty much, with how low Twinsanity ranks and how high the mobile games rank, but, assuming it is not just being different for the sake of it, I respect your opinion and that was an overall fun video, it's great to hear different opinions from time to time
Twinsanity is second from the bottom just above Boom Bang and below Crash Purple. Oh lord.
I feel like Crash 3 had the best level design, and that's because of Time Trials.
These were levels that had to be made with the intent to speedrun them. It might be a complete nightmare in the underwater levels, but I feel like the levels are all mostly solid ground, so there's a lot less of the "jerk jumping requirements" that they had in earlier Crash games.
That might be the main reason why they’re the most fun levels to simply run through, especially with this segment in Bug Mite where you crash through dozens of nitro crates while invincible. And with them even adding a new level in the N. Sane Trilogy called Future Tense, which’s basically an even harder version of Future Frenzy.
Crash 3 may as well being one of the first videogames in history to be truly accessible both for casual players and giving enough challenges to the experts. Rare to see from a 90s game, i have a friend who is more of a PS4 player and Crash 3 was one of the few pre-PS2 games he was being able to enjoy. Is truly a masterpiece.
The worst part about Crash Purple is that you needed the Link Cable to get everything. And a friend with Spyro Orange. Or maybe you and a friend could have the GBA cartridge containing both versions, meaning that you could swap stuff with either of the games since you had both, but couldn't actually swap things between the two versions you owned. I hated that part.
Oh, and the mini-game heavily differed in quality. The button-mashing ones were a pain.
I would have put Twinsanity a few spots higher and Watch a Cotex slightly lower than that but other than that, I agree

The clashes were fun to me even were, whether shooting or driving my gunner buddy...
Plus right the end I could break the clash as a last insult to the dear friend I had such fun with.
As a racing game, it was functionally pretty simple and unremarkable but it had so much charm and effort put into it, the characters, the hub world, and the minigames. I was obsessed with the bowling for way too long.

I LOVE seeing Skylanders Imaginators being 9th which says a lot as it’s arguably the worst mainline Skylanders game which proves that the franchise has good games
I bounced back when the trilogy was remade, but ngl, CTR was where I first come to take interest in Crash back in the day. some of the games were too hard for me as a kid, but these days it's very doable. Also revisiting old games like Crash remind me how /bad/ I was at basically all the games I played XD

As someone who's only played the OG trilogy games I have no weight to throw around this debate or authority to comment on this lists hot takes- all I can contribute is the idea to have Caddicarus and Rabbidluigi dress up in jorts and shoes, and only jorts and shoes, and fight each other and thus determine the TRUE order in which they should be ranked.
Pretty confident in that idea, if not in my Crash Bandicoot opinions.

It had a new system of traversal, it had a really hilarious story, you teamed up with Cortex in it and that was cool, the music was extremely unique and fun to listen to (that I can chalk up to taste but still, "some of the worst in the series"?)and the gameplay was still solid for the most part. I have no idea what you mean about the platforming being bad! Truly!

Damn, i know twinsanity isn't a finish game and aren't perfect either but I really have so much fun playing it.
Crash Twinsanity is an Unfinished Masterpiece that doesn’t get enough love ❤️ The game has it’s flaws but that is what makes me love the game even more. Crash Twinsanity had so much potential considering how rushed the game was with a lot of cut content and the OST is Beautiful.
Twinsanity is far too low on this list. Sure, it is flawed, but to be that far down and below Crash Purple (which is widely considered the worst except arguably Boom Bang) is N. Sanity. It is a victim of lost potential and development hell, but there is no way it shouldn't be at least a few places higher.
Also, whilst I strongly dislike the mutant era, I'd argue that Titans is actually a little better than MoM, just for having focused level structure. MoM's open world leads it to having a lot of backtracking with no quick travel when going for 100% and doing side missions. MoM's greatest strength is its cutscenes parodying many different cartoons, and N. Brio's insane dialogue.
Final point I'll argue is N. Sane Trilogy being harder than the OG trilogy. For the most part, I disagree. Being able to save anywhere on Crash 1's map instead of only when getting a gem or finishing a one time bonus level makes life way easier, and in N. Sane Trilogy, Crash 1 only requires a no death run for coloured gems. For the original, that applied to every single gem in the game. The only levels I'd argue were remade harder are vehicle levels due to the controls not being as good.
I feel like I mustbe one of the only people who liked Crash Boom Bang, not becuase I didn't realise it was bad or anything but because somehow the ways it was bad made it more enjoyable to me and I really can't describe much more than that becuase I don't really even know why I just know that, that's how I felt while I was playing it.

Unfinished Twinsanity is still one of the few crash gamesto have such a distinct open world feeling and levels that are actually related to the story, unlike some random warp rooms that have hidden crystals and gems in them. And the humour is pretty good too. Way too low on the list.

As of watching this, Cash Banooca Has the Runs (Crash on the Run) is officially dead, removed from the Apple & Google Play stores, and rendered unplayable.
While I don't necessarily agree with its placement, all the points state about Twinsanity are dead on.
