Why is a bomb disposal robot so expensive? I guess a lot of R&D and parts went into it to allow it to move smoothly and accurately.
It's weird when you think back in the days people used take horses, elephants to war but now soldiers don't even need to be there physically

Why not just championship levels of "WAR CRAFT" and see who wins.
That doesn't make sense AT ALL. Why are they so "expensive"?? It's kinda ... "weird" (to say the LEAST!) to hear that military drones are "expensive" - shouldn't it be the OPPOSITE?? For instance a modern MBT with a (...say!...) 4 -men crew must have a SH*TLOAD of passive/composite &then reactive armour, with both passive & active protection systems & a whole array of sensors & cameras just to protect the CREW and allow it to operate. All of this makes it bigger and heavier - so you need more powerful engines - more powerful engines put more strain on the mechanical components, which means they have to be also sturdier & more sophisticated & so on & so foth. GET RID OF THE CREW and all you need to protect are the main electronical systems, engine & batteries necessary to operate the gun (guns-S ?) and MG's - you can make it smaller - relatively more simple and make much (MUCH) more of them - shouldn't that CUT the costs?? (...not to even mention HUMAN costs?...).
You are underestimating the complexity of remote operation
soon wars will be fought by 14 year old kids who have better twitch reflexes than adults (think video games)
Unlikely, not only because reaction times peak at age 24 (ie military aged adults) but even if kids did have higher reaction speeds:
1-women have significantly lower reaction speeds then men yet are stilled used by the military. The militaries of the world care more about politics than performance.
2-things other than reaction speed are needed in combat. Positioning and attention spans are far more important, children are notoriously bad at both.
@@matthiuskoenig3378 ill give you most of those points, im not 100% sold on the 24 being peak times on reaction times.

ripsaw cost 100 to 300 grand to make plus all that millitary guns. Its not 2.5 mil. its BS
