He said lots of other stuff too "Alexa, "Hey siri" and a bunch of other things. Budgies can talk but it takes a lot of practice
GippyHappy mine says pretty boy. Only had him a month. Alex is cute(mine) and looks like, pixel.
GippyHappy I've been watching a lot of budgie vids and it seems there's a lot of chirping and whistling with words and very short phrases (maybe 2 or 3 words at most) thrown into the mix. Often the words sound kind of robotic and machine like ...whereas when I've heard Cockatoos talking they can sound uncannily human...like children or little old ladies lol.
@@philipfisher651 budgies are the 5th best mimics of all pet birds. My grandmother had one that said sentences. I still rattle them off. Here comes the bride was one she taught him before I got married. Was darn cute and he was an awesome little budgie.
Budgies actually are very good at imitating human speech. They can imitate human speech just as good as the bigger species of parrot

Only the males talk. They have blue above their beaks. Female have cream color or pink.

@@ipadpro4665 it's true, you'll need more patience training a female budgie but they also have the ability to mimic human speech. In general they don't really talk or even sing as well as males, though. They're very territorial and mostly make little crabby sounds with some trills thrown in lol.

@@nct948sorry I'm late here. If you keep them really really well, they can live anywhere from 15 to 20 years. Usually they live upto the age of 10.

Ok, so I have to tell you guys this: I'm the one who owns Mr. Tickles. I left a comment a few months ago explaining how he loves watching videos of Kiwi and Pixel.
I've owned Mr. Tickles for over 7 years. Never talked, isn't the most social bird, but sometimes he'll stay on my shoulder for a few minutes or longer. He knows "up", but that's about as far as it goes.
So anyways, this is Mr. Tickles' favorite bird video. I show this one to him the most. Well, all of a sudden (within the past week) - HE STARTS TALKING! He can now say "Cute baby bird", "Cute Bird", "Derpy Derpy Derpy", and he's trying to say more.
I can not believe that YOUR VIDEOS taught my bird of 7 years to talk, dude! I can't believe it. This is nuts!
Like, what?! I didn't think a bird could start talking once they get to a certain age. But I'm here to say that's not true!

Just a little question: how old was Kiwi when he was taught to speak?
He seems to chirp a lot more than speaking, I'm not all that sure if that's normal for a speaking parakeet
