That "Delete Face" command was nice. I should try using that.

just discovered this. Amazing because literally every single CAD tutorial focuses on how to do things, but not how to do things faster.
    I love this.

Just discovered your channel and tried it in solidworks. Had the geometry done dast, but needed to scale from mm to inches, modify my units and density settings, so yeah... Something to improve before becomming competitive :D

Did this one in OnShape. New lesson was extrude-to-face! I didn't know the up-to-face could be a curved surface. Seeing you do it in SW gave me the clue to try it in OnShape.
My mass is 0.626 lbs. Is this tiny variance (.001 lb) a difference between SW and OnShape? Or do I still have something wrong, I wonder.

Any shape of face can be used with 'up to face' but the limitation is that the tomb stone shape should be overlapping the cylinder, otherwise it will not terminate. If it overlapps no problem, if it doesn't, problem. You don't have this limit with a planar face. Planar face is projecting a plane that is infinite. So even if there is no overlap, SW knows where that plane is so it can terminate.

Here's the full run in ONSHAPE - you should be able to get it to 0.625

@@TooTallTobyThanks! I pretty much did exactly what you did, but I obviously missed something. Back to the "drawing" board.

Found it! I had the countersink diameter at .05 instead of .055 in. Mass is now .625. Aww yeah!
