Anthony must love everyone in shadow of intent because he could seriously do anything he wants with his career, amazing drummer, nutty guitar player, this guy has everything. Apparently he’s the best drummer at berklee also, along with being the best guitarist. I also do hope he stays with them tho, the whole band is monstrous. Best Deathcore band around at the moment, it’s not just repetitive songs.

This man is so underrated it's not even funny; not to mention he's an equally good guitarist, which is crazy and intimidating. Check out his dual-instrument covers of Beneath the Massacre (and others) on his channel, they're fucked.

Dude, I practice covering that song all the time and that’s my absolute-favorite part to do. It’s a really fun song to cover but it’s incredibly challenging and requires a ton of stamina. The way he recorded that song especially allows for very little breaths taken through it because it’s lyricized so actively. Ben is an amazing vocalist, and perhaps even a better lyricist.
My god, after 10 years following this man... a true legend.

This band in the coming years will be a reference for this kind of music, melancholy is the most beautiful album I've ever heard, along with primordial. I was a guy who listened a lot to metalcore, but shadow of intent greatly expanded my musical horizons
Been a Metalcore freak too.. Melancholy is actually the first Deathcore album I ever got, and currently is the only Deathcore album I have on my playlist.. And I have to admit, it really is one of the best albums I've heard this year... It's hard to believe that am now into Deathcore because of the band and the album...hey, you found any other Deathcore band thats doing stuff like Shadow Of Intent?

This album definitely dethroned The Valley by Whitechapel for me. A Different Shade of Blue by Knocked Loose is now 2nd, and the Valley is 3rd.

People always go on about how amazing Aaron Kitcher is, but this guy right here, he's the real talent of this genre. No programmed sped up drums, and he can actually play live.

The intro really reminds me of The Vampire From Nazareth by Septic Flesh, as well as the overall symphonic feel of the song.
These guys take loads of inspiration from Septicfleshm I noticed it too! Mainly in the symphonic elements, but sometimes in instrumental sections like that intro

thats the product of soooooooooooo many countless hours practicing heel toe technique with double stroke rolls naturally atttached. and its just the most beautiful culmination of metal drumming. im trying to work on my double kick rudiments currently..
