- Our second take on the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. A lot changed since we had our first test ride of this bike a year ago. This time, we took the bike to the expressways, to the unpaved roads of Lobo and a lot of river crossings in Tanay. And here we are, doing a second look at the bike. What changed? Find out here.

I like my 2023. Great fun. I use the clutch and it's smooth. But having the quick shift can help get out of Dodge if needed.

It's a shame the bike is so small. Would be more appealing if it catered for taller riders and had some luggage carry capability.

I am 6.2 tall and riding it with no problems.
the looks is really deceiving. It can be ridden by tall riders with no problem.

its not even a riding shoes hahaha. its a timberland outdoor shoe. works quite well, enough padding which makes it quitr comfortable, and water resistant as well.
"Svartpilen" means the Black Arrow in Swedish as the design emanates from Sweden. The existing colour scheme for that bike in Sweden and most European and American markets is black. Your bike in Indonesia is in some military green unseen here in Sweden.
yes true. i would have preferred the black ones with wire wheels.

Great video thanks! I stumbled on to this video because I like this bike. I have a 701 Svartpilen and really like it. It almost makes me want to also buy the 401 but it's not necessary. What is the purpose of the cross bar on the handle bars? How does this bike feel on the highway and traveling some distance did it struggle? It seems like this bike is more biased towards the road compared to off roading which is fine to me. The bikes design is very unique and i have read reviews where people don't' like it but I do. So you think it is different from the KTM 390? Is it better? Thanks
i would choose the 701 vitpilen, convert the handles and tires to a svart, then that would be perfect for me. bit we dont have the 701 here, only the 401. but yeah, the 401 is really road biased but i love the fact i can do offroads as well, though limited capability. but still a fun factor that i love about the bike. it has enough power as the 390 Duke, some days i love the duke, most days i think i love how the 401 gives that aura which the duke lacks.

@@p-dub7422 true, but i dont like that thing at the back of the svart701. to me, it killed the sweet lines of the bike. but if it would be more cost effective, i’ll probably just change that back side panel with a vitpilen.
@@BossTLPH oh I see! The mud guard is what you don't like? Some people have said that i like it. I am going to check the vitpilen out and see.

5’10” po ako. from some angles, sabi nga nila may kaliitan tingnan yung motor. bit it doesn’t bother me.

Thought bike came with spokes.
depends on what country. i think for ASEAN countries, they are alloy wheels due to costs. but in most western countries, they are released with spoked wheels and adjustable suspension.

@@hinayoufaka yes that is true. pero so far, wala pa rin kasi sya katapt kasi when it comes to looks and performance at the price range e. the next viable option is already the xsr700.

i have my 401 for over a year now, i really think i made a good investment. i use it to go to work & the occasional out of town ride. my only gripe is the fuel gauge needs to be fixed, it shows low fuel only after using up 5 liters. is there a way ktm can reprogram this?
i noticed that too!!! it was saying like it is half tank already and then when i have it filled up, turns out i only consumed less than 3 liters out of 9.5L capcity. 😊
Same! I just try to remember to reset the trip meter every time I fill up and know that I can easily get 100 miles from a full tank. Still, it’s a pain in the ass and contributes a good deal of “range anxiety” a majority of the time
