- Aortic area :
🔹AS = Radiates to carotids. Elderly with fatigue, falls, and syncope. Due to age-related calcifications of the aortic valve.
Left sternal border:
🔹AR = Head bobbing
🔹PDA = Continuous, machine-like
Tricuspid area:
-Systolic:
🔹TR = Rheumatic fever or infective endocarditis
🔹VSD = Radiation to precordium
-Diastolic:
🔹ASD = Down syndrome.
Mitral area:
🔹MR = Rheumatic fever or infective endocarditis. Radiates to the axilla!!
🔹MVP = Ehlers-Danlos or Marfan.
AS = aortic stenosis
AR = aortic regurgitation
MS = mitral stenosis
MR = mitral regurgitation
ASD = atrial septal defect
VSD = ventricular septal defect
MVP = mitral valve prolapse
