Join me for a whispered photographic journey through Tokyo! In May 2023, I was lucky enough to spend a couple of weeks traveling in Japan, and it was one of the coolest experiences of my life! I took about a zillion photos, and in this video I use Adobe Lightroom to edit some of my favorite shots from the first week of the trip, spent in Tokyo. This video is part tutorial, part travelogue, as I chat about both the techniques that I'm using to edit the photos AND my memories, thoughts, and experiences about traveling in Japan! Awesome! This time last year I was TDY to Yokota Airbase for a couple weeks. Went to Shibuya City right outside Tokyo and it was INSANE. The colors and neon was constant and it didn’t help that we were good and sauced haha. The train home was literally like the videos of train assistants cramming people through the doors of the train, it was insane.
Okinawa has my heart though, best assignment of my career so far. Simply the perfect island.

Tokyo is a crazy cool city, I love how different areas have completely different vibes, but everywhere feels safe and enjoyable. I would LOVE to visit Okinawa one day, I really hope I get the chance!
