- Brad reviews the new Russell Crowe possession movie The Exorcism, which surprisingly isn't a sequel to The Pope's Exorcist.

I miss Midnight Screenings.
Me too. Do you guys realize it's been 5 years since Sarah Irving and Ryan have been on camera?
The director of this film is the vampire kid from Near Dark
and the brother of the vampire in lost boy
And son of Father Karras in the actual Exorcist
Coming soon, Russell Crowe battles a killer shark in Jaw
Is the shark demon-possessed?
The director is Father Damian Karras's (Jason Miller) his youngest Son. So it's a wink & a nod to his father's work.
Apparently this was shot like five years ago and got shut down over Covid. It was almost believed to be abandoned, but hey, that OTHER Russell Crowe exorcism movie was a hit so they drudged this up and slapped it together for a release.
That would explain a lot.
I wondered why Russell Crowe looked younger than recently in it.
The best part of this movie was that a fight nearly broke out in my movie theater because one lady was texting her granddaughter and the lady behind her asked to turn off her phone and so for the first 10 minutes of the movie there was a shouting match going on. It stopped and as the movie kept going I was begging for a fight to break out again because that was more interesting than the movie
I remember reading that this was shot in 2019 plus one of the listed directors is Jason Millers son the star of the orginal exorcist and Legion so from what Brad is saying I think the studio took the movie and reshoot it to try and make it more conventional and to cash on the Popes Exorcist success.
lol, Brad looks like Donald Pleasance in the thumbnail
Well, I know what Brad will look like in his 60s with that thumbnail.
😂 true
You neglected to mention this was filmed way back in 2019, but sat on the shelf for the past half decade. Who knows how many re-edits it had in that time, or what it was originally even intended to look like.
please consider reviewing the chicken chronicles (1977) and the first time (1981 or 83; depending upon your source). the plot to the first time (1981 or 1983) : "A young film student pursues a woman while studying under a bizarre, eccentric film professor." i can't help but think the first time was a student film; in several of the outside scenes you can hear an echo. wallace shawn plays the professor. there are several other films also entitled the first time.
I mean these in the movie must be dumb. If there was liquor that let you teleport everyone would be drinking it! Thanks for the review Brad!
I'm curious what this film looked like before reshoots back in 2019.
"Hey David, you wanna be in my Excorcism movie?"
"Hmmm, maybe?"
"Hey david, you wanna be in the Fraiser reboot?!"
"...NOPE, gotta go make an Exorcism movie!"
To be fair to him, David has been trying to escape Nile’s’ shadow for years
@@mrcritical6751 oh yeah, no shade meant in any serious way at least.
Bummer. I was almost interested. Cool review and thumbnail.
This review perfectly encapsulates this film.
Can you review Ghostlight, pretty please?
can't wait for The Exorcised
Did Brad saw Inside Out 2?
I never even heard of the movie until reviews started to pop in my feed this morning. Apparently it has good points but all said it's not very good at the final act that ruins the movie.
I thought it was part of the Pope's Exorcist universe.
Definitely not the Repossessed sequel I was looking for
I'll pass.
What happened to the old cinema snob?
Damnit, the premise sounds awesome! Why's it gotta be so generic and stupid..
The Thumbnail looks like Donald Pleasence having a stroke! 😱
CZcams hates you :( I have to actively search you out on my home page to see your hilarious stuff
I’m gonna leave a comment
I'm gonna leave a comment in your comment
Why are there So many demonic possession movies this past year?
Hebrew Hammer himself is in this? That makes me a little more interested in seeing this...
Brad, are you using AI to combine yours and Pazuzu's faces?
Oh boy.....another exorcism movie with Maximus
Yeah about late night with the devil the director confirmed they hired A.I. 🤢🤮 and "the exorcism" looks not scary and boring that it's directed by Joshua Miller who's also an actor in Halloween 3 and Near Dark and the son of Jason Miller from The exorcist and exorcist 3
In late night with the devil they only used it in two sences. Wish you people would stop harping on about it like they did the whole movie in a.i
@@andywilliammockzek yeah they used two A.I. scene which is why I don't watch and support horror movies
How do you hire AI? Does it have an AI-gent?
Well now I know what Brad would look like Mid-Stroke.
Advertising a movie like it's the sequel to another? That's just dirty.
the director is literally the Son of Jason Miller
For heaven’s sake, Jones!
That AI generated face in the thumbnail will never, ever, look like you!!
