Well done great to see.
Respect from a 39yr old white belt at Alliance in Eagle, Idaho USA. Its great learning from Gigi (he lives here now). Good production to show case the value of BJJ. It is as Chris describes it - transformative.
What a great intro to BJJ video. Great job!
Thanks Andrew, We love BJJ so it was a pleasure to film and edit :)
Love it. I am a Geordie lad from Fenham, living in the caribbean for the last 6 years. Jiujitsu has changed my life also the last 15 months. Great little movie, I look forward this September to come train at your gym in Newcastle.
Hey Jack, I'm sure they'll love that

He was promoted to black belt in Brazil's soil, that's cool! I hope he had tried the local Açaí 😎
I go visit Alliance NC every time I am in New Castle. It’s an amazing gym with amazing people. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

Such cool story telling this was a great watch
Thanks Loosh ❤️
Chris and his brother are both solid dudes. Trained with them for a good few years in redcar.
Is it good for self défense ?
Almost everyone who does JJ wishes they started earlier
I feel you there, so much to learn, but loving the process of getting my butt kicked everyday lol
Anyone watching this unsure if they can do this. I can say from personal experience, BJJ is the real deal in terms of self defence and confidence building.
Couldn't agree more. I really think everyone should try jujitsu at least once. It's changed our lives!
I tried Jiujitsu for 1 month. I really enjoyed it. but ultimately it wasn't for me. The problem is I already have too many hobbies, and if I took on Juijistsu as well I would become a "jack of all trades, master of none". I also underestimated the level of fitness needed to merely keep up with the class, This is something you are better off starting young and it takes a lot of time and energy. I was also disappointed that a lot of the self-defense material has been removed from the curriculum. (I'm told that's available in Gracie Jujitsu)
Hey, sorry to hear that, it can be really hard at the start, but if you commit 3 months to it your fitness and understanding of the technique will improve exponentially! You're right it does take a lot of energy to get to a good level, but for the first 2 years I only trained once per week, I understand you, you can never master bjj if you're not training all of the time, but you can still reep the mental and physical benefits from training even just once per week. A lot of gym's teach sport bjj now which does lose that self defence aspect, Although it's all really transferrable, Chris teaches techniques would work as self defence or in the gym. Maybe try his gym if you're in the area!
I live in India....1.4 billion people and only one legit bjj black belt .....his school is on the other side of the country....I love bjj but at 40 now, I guess I'll never be able to learn it
I'm 47 now and too old :(
I started at 46. 54 yr old brown belt now. Just do it.
@@evertjen Really? And a brown belt in 8 years? Wow.
It's never too late to start! It will be one of the best things you do! We love it so much
