@@milothompsonvought7174 The board did a 180 the second he popped it while he body didn't spin. Right before landing he does about a 90 degree spin. You could either call it a varial flip or a big flip; It is most definitely not a Backside Flip.

Skimboarding is so fucking fun. These are the best waves for it ive ever seen. Good music wheres it at? Also how are the waves in panama city florida. Im headed that way next week and would like to get a new board if its worth it

That was a close one! I don't think anybody will ever be able to stick those consistently on a critical section of wave. Maybe out the back though
its definitely a lot of board to be flipping around but just looking at the progression of skateboarding and skimboarding together i do think it will be possible one day. it will just take the right guy to break the barrier, kinda like the backflip in motorcross or the 5 minute mile in running. once one guy was doing it a light switch went on for everyone else and they quickly surpassed it
@@thisismov As a skateboarder, I couldn't agree more. In fact I looked up skimboarding kickflip and found this video. Because as soon as I saw someone doing shuvits, I figured someone's already done a kickflips. Imagine with a skimboard grinding on a cliff, a boulder, a bouye, a boat.

You know we are all asking ourselves the same question: How long could I be in those waves before I would die?
The real question is how long would it take for me to be able to just get out to those waves
What makes the waves so big here? I usually go to the beach on the other side of the rocks there (and other side of the boat passage ) and the waves are significantly smaller, never been to this side.

It’s actually a big flip. It’s a trick from skateboarding where the board does a 360 and a kick flip, while your body does a 180.

Derek Nazari that’s just the way I explained it. You could also say the board does a 360 flip and your body does a 180. Either way, your board does indeed do a kick flip.
