Hi, I have a problem with MAN TGA 18310 2002 d2866 engine. throws error EDC 638-02. when it turns on the error, the engine shuts off and the pump starts to rattle. The pump was taken to the mechanic, he says it's fine. is there anything that needs to be checked
How did you actually undetstand that the measuring unit was faulty? 3779 fault appears when the unit gets 10% or more load during low idle, which means huge overflow rate the unit can't manage with. Normal load rate for the measuring unit is about 1-5% during low idle. First of all you should measure the overflow from injectors, normally it's 50-80 ml per minute on low idle. If it's ok, then you test the rail overflow valve, it should be fully sealed. Only then you check the inlet connectors, but usually the have no problems. If you found no trouble in those things, then you should test the high-pressure pump on the test bench. As a matter of fact the problem is in one of the named things, if not - only then we can treat the measuring unit as faulty. But in 99% instances faulty measuring units are consequence, but not cause.
sir nagawa ko na po lahat ng procedure niyo kaso di pa rin po nakuha..from 2006 bar limiter bumabagsak sa 862 bar..pag tinaggal ko ang socket ng limiter valve balik siya sa 2006 bar..ano pa po kaya pwd gawin?

Hello sir in the fault alarm edc 03781.most of the trouble is in the metering unit.metering unit is to control the fuel pressure in the rail.but you said you already changed metering unit and pressure sensor.please check the current supply sir

Hello sir..EDC 00609-08 engine control unit network fault signal. To be honest with you i did not experiece an actual trouble of this fault code.maybe the problem is in the tachometer/tachograph or in ecu... its better to scan in diagnostic computer

Hello sir good day,that trouble was also happened in my 2 units here.even i replaced the metering unit same problem still come after few hours of running i was replaced the injector and the engine is now good
@@jlcworkshop Thank you brother for your early replay actually i also have a doubt o injectors so today I replace injectors with new (complete 6 injectors) and then make a road test approximately 20 kilometres vehicle not showing any problem when i connect loaded loaded water tanker with it after 7 to 9 kilometres again vehicle showing same problem

There are two possible problem with that kind of trouble.injectors or the high pressure pump
