- Surat is a city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Located at the mouth of the Tapti River, it used to be a large seaport. It is now the commercial and economic center in South Gujarat, and one of the largest urban areas of western India. It has well-established diamond and textile industries, and is a shopping centre for apparels and accessories. About 90% of the world's diamonds supply are cut and polished in the city. It is the second largest city in Gujarat after Ahmedabad and the eighth largest city by population and ninth largest urban agglomeration in India.

No doubt it's one of the fastest growing city in India, but the local authorities should also focus on planting trees and making the city green. Environmental policy should be strictly adopted in this country so that we become an ideal to upcoming generation.
Greenery is there in every city, whats more important is proper and organised greenery because unorganized greenery like in Mumbai looks ugly

Mumbai greenery is awesome. Gives the city a very tropical look. Some manicured gardens here and there is okay but a natural look is far better.

This video focused more on under developed areas of the city. Thanks for showing this side of city as well. Other CZcamsrs only show posh areas. Being a Surti, I want equal development in each part of the city, not just some rich areas.
Beautiful city, but ruined by the bad drivers. Government of India needs to bring ‘driver retraining’ to all drivers across India. If this country wants to be developed then driver discipline must improve for safety of other drivers and pedestrians!

When wide road is constructed, must make provision for metro or mono train in the middle of the road so that petrol diesel consumption is reduced to avoid pollution.

By Using Google Street View, You Can See Reality Of Each City In India, in Videos Of Hyderabad, It Looks another thing, In Reality, Not Whole City Looks like that, In Surat Vip road Vesu area Are also Best.
Looks dusty, old with broken roads and as usual non-functional traffic lights. But as a first step, Surat should remove all the sand from the road and make all the traffic lights work and enforce traffic discipline with cameras. No point growing really fast if the end result is a zoo and not a livable city.
In Gujarat I guess no one follow traffic laws.
For example no helmets, wrong side driving both are in Ahmedabad and surat. Even they do in front of traffic police.
In india lot's of pedestrians have to walk on road why? no proper infrastructure for pedestrians.

What is the use of being fastest growing cities if there is no discipline and no traffic rules as everyone drives according to his rules and no respect for lanes but just blowing horns all the time and continue being dirty and underdeveloped?

National Highways come under the ambit of the Central Government. The broken roads of the city will be fixed by local authorities, not Modi. This work come under the municipality of the city.
