Porygon has the distinction of being the only Pokémon that evolves into another Pokémon via trade whilst holding a item twice. It evolves into Porygon 2 with the Upgrade item, then into Porygon Z with the Dubious Disk. So you could get a Porygon Z at level 1, if you really wanted to.

The whole Clamperl evolutionary line makes absolutely zero sense. Why would a clam turn into a fish? Why would holding a tooth versus a scale determine what kind of fish it would be?

So many Pokemon need to be traded while holding these items in order to evolve... Oh well, at least in Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald (I don't think you can do this in OR/AS, but I'm not afraid to ask), Diamond, Pearl and Platinum the Prism Scale isn't needed to evolve Feebas into Milotic...

Trade evolutions are stupid. I think the only reason they exist is to encourage people to buy more of their stuff. Like another console or another game just to be able to get certain pokemon. It's pretty fckd up and unfair to those who want certain pokemon but don't have friends (or those who play pokemon at least) or have the money to buy another console and another game.
I hate that you HAVE to trade to evolve these guys. It especially sucks when ur running an emulator
