This video is like comparing Dylan, Luther, and Pavarotti. While each is a legend, their skill set, dynamics, and strengths are completely different. Adele while talented lacks the dynamics and range of both Whitney and Beyoncé. Beyoncé with crazy range, dynamics, and ridiculous control still can’t be compared to Whitney. Whitney’s command of her voice was unmatched. She could literally go anywhere with her voice and with such abruptness it was astonishing.
There was no social media or cell phones back in Whitney’s day 1986-early 90s her performances that aren’t as readily available like the other 2 were absolutely mind blowing. Also no auto tune no technologies. Original class

There’s a reason Whitney is The Voice and that there’s a whole generation of singers that credits Whitney as a major influence. Whitney is the blue print of what a true vocalist is supposed to be.
Three very different artists. Love Whitney and think she is the master in terms of technical ability. But singing is not all about technical skill. With Adele its about tone and the emotion in her voice. She can elevate a song that pulls at your heartstrings which I think is why her songs resonate with a lot of people. I think maybe this is also why she sometimes gets mentioned along with the greats.
But if we talking about a vs battle of vocalist she wouldn't be able to hold her own with these ladies. I've seen beyonce make people cry singing halo and her pull people in singing listen Adele I think had a great voice but to go against anybody it wouldn't look right. Whitney has a church voice. As in, the best singers you've never heard are all in in a church choir somewhere. The competition in church is fierce. And the feedback is immediate. Whitney had the harshest critics in church. She came out of that environment knowing her vocal skills were put to the test. And it shows. She sang with confidence, depth and emotion. I mean, men cry hearing her sing the National Anthem for goodness sakes.

I liked this video, but I have to disagree with you. Whitney is definitely #1. But I would flip the order of Beyonce' and Adele. You say, basically, that Adele doesn't do anything with her voice, that she keeps at the same level. Adele doesn't indulge in vocal pyrotechnics; she doesn't move around; she stands still and sings. I have no problem with that. I think R&B has changed so much since I was a kid listening to Motown & Philly. It's become more today about runs than singing a great melody. You also said Adele doesn't have a powerful voice. How can you watch even those short clips and say that? She has a rich, full voice. I find Beyonce's voice, though dramatic, to be thin by comparison. There are lots of singers today who can hit high notes, but whose voices do not have the character Adele does. She's also a storyteller.

On Beyonce... unfortunately she just entered her prime, before she had a lot issues with her voices. solid bottom, thin constricted middle voice and top. She moved into prime voice post pregnancy. When you guys thought her voice was a great , it was not...
