Nah it’s a mod to the game whilst actually running on ps3. We use a tool called RaCMan which lets us read the games memory and send it from the ps3 to our computer, which in turn lets us do a few things, including reset quicker, quickly modify/setup files, save/load position for practise, and of course, unpatch the things they patched in greatest hits hahaha. This is all also possible go my knowledge with the ps3 emulator RCPS3, however this is not what I use. TLDR: I play on a real ps3, and to record it I use a capture card, and to run the mod I use a community made tool :)
This is a modded version of the game that allows for the movement available on the NTSC Black Label PS2 version (and technically the PAL PS2 version but those are very bad for speedruns), while maintaining the benefits of the PS3 version (act tuning for bosses, fast loads). It is not an official release and currently, the runs are all displayed on the category extensions page, but this is subject to change in the future.

First time i seen someone use the bomb glove to hurt ratchet. First time i noticed this was with the jet pack pad thing where u fly up
