Simply gorgeous. This performance was the turning point for her in the show and suddenly made her favourite to win. I must admit the song itself is a masterpiece. However, how she interpreted it, her vulnerability and stillness, makes the whole thing utterly compelling.

I loved her since the very first performance; can't discount the talent of the others and their friendship, but then I am sure that they have all landed some leading parts so everyone's a winner as long as they showcase what they have with heart and all they've got. Like other girls from Maria all landed jobs too, so it's all talent and hardwork really, well, I would like to believe that.

Interestingly in the Miss AVUK videos from show 1 to 9, Jessie has twice the number of views than Jodie has. This is one of Jodie's best performances and highest viewings, still less than 10k.

There's been so much debate about whether Nancy should be 'older' or 'younger'. I think it's more about who can convey the complex character of Nancy. To my mind, this is way out Sam's league, whose performances tend to be 2-dimensional. I think Jodie could do it.

she's just not a Nancy... very very talented girl, but just not Nancy, she doesn't seem to have the fight in her to be Nancy

lovewarpeace My issue is I can't see anyone but Shani Wallis as Nancy. Shani was The Perfect Nancy. She's only in her 80s... Maybe she could get cast in the next revival! :-)
