I marvel at someone who has only two pens inked up. I never have fewer than fourteen, and usually have twenty-to twenty-five. I have so much ink coming in every month that I want to test, and keeping a lot of pens inked up is just the easiest way to do it. I just gave away two hundred bottles of ink, and still have more than two hundred because I'm obsessed with ink. I bought more bottles of the James Purdey ink than I want to admit, but I won't run out in this lifetime. I not only have a ton of fountain pen ink, I also have far too much calligraphy ink for my dip pens. I store all my ink on shelves. I store my most expensive pens in a large humidor made for cigars. It has a built in humidifier and a Hygrometer I keep all my inked up pens in small, metal pen boxes, and these fit on a desk rack that keeps the nibs at an eight o'clock angle. I keep seven pens in the boxes they came in because the boxes are very nice, and fit perfectly on a shelf next to my desk. The nicest of the rest of my pens are on display racks that sit on three shelves to the left of my desk. What pens remaining go into ordinary fountain pen chests. Paper probably takes up more space than anything. I have well over a hundred notebooks, and about the same number of assorted journals that I use for all sorts of things. My main journals is the A4 casebound Oxford Black n' Red. I started using these fifty-one years ago, and haven't changed because I like the paper, like the binding, and they look good on a shelf. I have all the ones I've used, and three dozen new ones. This isn't counting the three and a half by five and a have notebooks that I carry wherever I go. I have about two dozen of these that are full, and that many more waiting to be used. I also have sixteen large, three ring binders. Half are filled with loose leaf fountain pen friendly paper that I had punched to fit the binders, and the other half are filled with the most expensive ordinary binder paper I could find. Each binder holds two hundred sheets of paper, and I have somewhere around five thousand sheets of each type of paper waiting to go in these binders. I use a LOT of paper in these binders. I have eight A5 three ring binders, largely because I discovered a very cheap, extremely good fountain pen paper made in Vietnam that fits them. They come in very handy. Then I have just about every type of loose leaf or microperforated paper that exists. I think the number is at twenty-four brands or types right now. This is letter writing paper, and I use most of it for writing letters not to other people, but for other people. Then come the dozens of sketchbooks, mixed media books, watercolor books, along with the art supplies to use in these books. I have far too much ink, and far too much paper. I won't live long enough to use half of it, but I keep buying more. Looking for perfection, I guesws. Just like with fountain pens. I sold one hundred and fifty-three pens not long ago, and now I own even more than that. But the real problem for me is organizing all the minutia, the refills for specific gel pens and rollerballs, and the different sizes and hardness of lead for the mechanical pencils. The woodcase pencils and watercolor pencils, and pastel pencils stuffed into pencil holders, and the paintbrushes, and sketching kits, rulers, and tape, and markers, and twenty other things. I keep all this STUFF in plastic contains, and keep these inside two stacked drawer cabinet. It's a challenge, to say the least. But I earn a lot of extra money in here, so I shouldn't really complain. Besides, I also have a TV, a recliners, an end table, a cot, and a small fridge, so it is comfy..
I've only been using fountain pens for about 6 months so I don't have many and none are expensive. I keep them in a small deco box with syringes, q-tips and ink cartridges. No bottle ink yet but we're quickly approaching it. I have another small wood chest that I keep my two dip pens in. I do have several bottles of ink for those pens.
I have a large closet type in my kitchen. Pots and pans top shelf. Ink in bottles, about 30 fountain pens 10 and highlighters 12 middle shelf. Paper towels cotton swabs q-tips pens that need to be cleaned 6 right now bottom shelf.
Thanks for the tour, I'm jealous of your huge desk, not to mention that very colorful collection of Sports! I bet you're eyeing that Midnight Green AL Sport LE every other day and then panic-closing the browser like me. There's even a spot missing in the case for it~ :3
I’m so sad that Single Malt is no longer being sold. I saw it on Endlesspens awhile back for 46 USD and I just went back because you reminded me and it’s been sold out. Every other retailer has it sold out right now or has the Cigar ink in stock. Ehhh cigar 😒
I love it! I have a LOT more ink than you do, and no way to store it well right now, so it's everywhere. (On the other hand, I have less pens so they fit in two cases). May I ask where your cabinet came from? That seems ideal! Right now I have some things in my desk, some in my nightstand, and some in a cube unit in my office. Very jumbled up mess at the moment!
I’m still looking for a good way to store my massive ink collection. Your drawer unit… I noticed your inks are only in the bottom drawer. Is it not strong enough for similar ink loading in the other drawers? That’s my worry for most of the storage I’ve looked at!
It was just a coincidence that it’s down there, done because I use that drawer the least. No idea if the other shelves aren’t strong enough but I think it would be fine
Thank you for sharing your space! My ink bottles are in rows along the edges of my bookshelves in front of my books, and along the top of my desk. There are a lot of them. My stack o' notebooks that are up for next use are lined up in a bookshelf near my bed. My vintage pens are in cases in my drawers, and my less expensive modern pens are in jars on my desk.

Only American Express knows the true extent of fountain pen stuff I own, and Amex ain’t telling:), but suffice to say, it’s an embarrassing amount.
Waaaay more organised than me! Although I do have my 'work' stationery as well as the home pen stuff in the house.
I'd very much like to know where you got that 5-drawer dresser where you hold your pen and inks. The design is just what I've been looking for.
i'm so late but that is from ikea..they're the alex drawers in black
Thanks for the inspiring tour of your pen space. Hmmm, I think I need to invest some time in de-cluttering and reorganizing.

This is such a cool space! :)
Very cool setup, and I love that jlp notebook! Also, I hope your sniffles go away soon and your week is a good one.
My set up look similar only much much messier. What do you do with used notebooks?
Can you tell me what you consider a reasonable price for the Purdy? Thanks!
Inspirational tidyness, neatness, order. (---- Are you looking an' listening Chris Bliss??!!)

Hey Kerry, was that some Lamy Dark Lilac Ink Cartridges I spied in that 2nd drawer? I’d love to have a bottle of that stuff!
Cartridges yes, I don’t have a bottle of it unfortunately

I have the same record player! Isn't it great?
Wow, it's all so tidy! So organized! I feel bad about my stuff now. My life is a mess. :)

Where did you get the pen trays?
From a company based out of Las Vegas many many years ago. I can’t even remember what they’re called, sorry!
You need more pens. That's not enough.
By the way, I see the vinyl. Embracing the analogue lifestyle.
I work in the modern era so I come home to analog to disconnect lol
@@PensandTea Very wise.

This was interesting . . . but Justin Bieber? You can do better.
I dunno, it's got a pretty lively fandom.

@@Suiseisexy That was great!
Could you cut down on all of the "uh"s? It is very distracting to your video.
Where did you acquire your sweet, wooden, desktop fountain pen caddy?
