- BIG!! This big 36"x 48" canvas was a monster and really fun to work on! I haven't made an acrylic pour this big in over a year, but it was time again with a 5 color swipe which looks really good!
It reminds me of an ocean theme, especially with the overhead view when I was all done! I used premixed acrylic in this pour and also used about 80oz. of paint! A canvas this size is a little intimidating, but I really love it in the end!
I would love if you checked out my new website and gallery, which is www.tonysfluidart.com 🙂
I'd also love you thoughts and feedback on this swipe, so please let me know in the comments!

Looks great. I love the way the blues complimented each other and yes the peeking of the purple was beautiful.
Thanks so much Pat, I appreciate you watching! This was a really fun to do! :)
HUGE canvas!!! The final results looks great, especially when you get close and can see all the details and different areas. Great job!!
Thanks August, this was a fun pour after I got going! I was a little nervous starting out, but glad it turned out. Thanks for watching!
I love the colors you chose. The swipe technique is nice . Looks like the ocean. I love it!!💕
Thank you so much for watching, and I appreciate the kind words! 🥹🤍
I like the subtle gradients in this painting. And, wow, that's a big canvas!
Yes, they are uncomfortable big lol It was a fun pour, but once I started to layer the colors I was committed to it. It’s hard to change on the fly with a canvas this big. Thanks again!
It was worth the commitment.
Hi! I definitely hopped on your channel and subscribed as I saw a previous video on your acrylic swipe! This one is beautiful as well!🎉🫶🏽🎉
Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate it! Thanks for the kind words too! 🤍
Beautiful
Thank you so much, I appreciate you watching as well! 🤍
Beautiful blues! It's definitely an oceanic pour. I thought perhaps the white would create more lacing or cells. It's unfortunate the white surf or sand had to be tilted off. You're brave to tackle such a large piece on a similar-sized table!
Thanks Jane, I appreciate you watching and of course the feedback! Yes, not having poured this big in quite awhile helped me know where to tilt on the table so I wouldn’t spill on the floor (it was covered too). Although, I found there were things I learned on this pour much like a smaller one. Thanks again! 🤍
Wow! Rather you than me ;-) Don't think I'm brave enough for a pour that size yet. As you were tilting I thought to myself that is was just a mass of blue but when we went in close I could see all the subtle designs that came out of it. A nice result. Good to see you had the champagne ready for when it turned out right.
😅 I was waiting to the first comment about that. Yes, luckily up close and up on the wall, it doesn’t just look blue which was a concern when started to dry.
Enjoying your swipes. Be nice to see the pieces dry and on a wall at the end. It's a nice presentation, bet they look nice!
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it. And yes I’m trying to remember to include the dry versions for you too!
I used a mixture of Liquitex titanium white with cell activator, all the blues in liquitex, and swiped with a wet towel. I got tons of cells. Honestly, I’m going to skip the cell activators. I want a smooth paint look. Tomorrow, I’ll pick up some pre poured gold and black and white and raw Siena. I want an Az picture.
Thanks for sharing and by the way that sounds like an amazing pour. I hope it goes well! 🤍
Looks great!!! Love the colours. J
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!! 😊😊
Do you put paint on canvas before adding colours
Hi Helena! No, I didn’t add any paint before the color. In hindsight I probably should have, or at least over the edges and sides to help it out a little bit.
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
How much is a piece
Hi Robert, this painting has actually been sold but thank you for your interest! My website is in my profile if you’d like to take a look at any other pieces.
It looks like you under a wave surfing
I love that! Thanks for watching, Katie! 🤍
How do you keep your cat(s) from jumping on your pieces?
@@krisburgess7757 😅 That’s a very good question. I think Piper (the cat) and I have an understanding about what she can and can’t do. lol
She’s never been a big jumper to begin with so I’m thankful for that. She’s not too interested in what I’m up to. 🙂
@@tonysfluidart you’re lucky. I just got two curious kittens. My studio is in my basement where there litter boxes are located. So I can’t close the door. I have a screened in porch but we also have little bugs out there as well as the garage. It’s a challenge.
@@krisburgess7757 Yes, I'd love to get off of the dining room table some day, which may mean I move downstairs closer to the cats things, and I'm not sure I'd ever paint outside with our winds/bugs. But yes, I do think I'm pretty luck she's lazy lol
