Regardless of his takes, if you want to look at someone who is the epitome of hard-working it's LS. Dude has been co-casting three regions for what feels like a few years now, prior to that was a caster on top of all the content he put out + streaming. Sacrifices sleep to please us for a simple video game in a country with completely different time zones. The grind doesn't stop. My wife is Korean and her parents explained how the apartment rent system works in SK...and it is quite confusing compared to what we do in the west. Interesting to see you go through the same thing. Your comments around the stress of sending so much money makes a ton of sense now :)
Can you elaborate im curious so does he own or just rent and for how long
@@user-td9qu5er1d in korea, they put down a key deposit that's the price of buying the place essentially. This covers the rent and so there isn't a monthly payment. As explained in the video, the landlord gets to do whatever with that money with the expectation that at the end they'll return the lump sum. So basically, for one year they can collect interest on it as "rent", and they don't have to deal with the hassle of trying to get money out of someone every month. Also, any damages will come out of the base lump sum at the end of the year so it's insurance against that.
@@maoc389 seems like an odd system. If you can afford to put down such a huge amount of money wouldn’t it make sense to just purchase a home? In the US you rent when you can’t afford to put a down payment to own.
