Young people in TORBA province still use traditional ways of fishing | VBTC News

Fishing with coconut leaves is one of the tradional way of fishing that people of Motalava in TORBA province are using but young people still using it.
These ways of fishing are usally done on special events such as Independence day and Chiefs day.
A chief in Motalava island, chief Aris Apos had formerly made an appeal to the young people in the Communities to continue hold on to the traditional practices of fishing and continue to use tradional tools like the Bow and arrow as these are some of the cultural identities of the Community.
