Today we're discussing efficient kits to run in Tarkov! This is the start of a new informal video style to cover broader topics, and in this particular episode we're looking at how to maximise your money whilst still being effective in raid. This is done through a combination of choosing the right weapons and ammo, and using cheap but useful gear together to get the biggest advantage for the smallest cost!

I would absolutely love more informal longer videos such as these. I feel that this information helps the majority of players who are new or more casual given circumstances I'm every day life restricting play time.

I still think BSG did us dirty by moving M80 to PK4. I'd love to play some NATO bolt action rifles but getting the ammo through crafting is too much of a hassle when I can just use an SV-98 with PS or SNB
Edit: since people have suggested to just craft M80: the craft isn't worth it. There is another craft for M61 which is slightly more expensive, but you get a superior round in return. But in the end it's still easier to just use 7.62x54R
Yeah PK4 is excessive since you unlock M62 at PK4 as well. There’s no real viable .308 round mid-wipe until you unlock m80.
The alternative is getting spammed by M80 out of RFBs for the first half of the wipe.

I use the Tarzan to hide the blue UN armor when I do the quest.

I use umka rigs they're cheap from flea and ALWAYS come back from insurance :)
On top of what you already mentioned, having a full CMS Kit is also wise because once you fixed a limb, it will easily be blacked out again in the next fight, since the CMS doesn't restore it with a lot of max hp.

I'd much rather have a 2/5 CMS, because rarely do I get the chance to fix more than 2 limbs and walk away. Moreover a 2/5 CMS is the first thing to leave your Pouch for pretty much any loot.

As someone who started recently to play, late at the wipe included, this video was by far the best I've seen! Money is still tight and being able to be money effective makes sense so I can fight more instead of rat looting

Car Kits can be remanufactured into CMS Kits. For the low price of Medical Tools you can either use it yourself, flea it, or vendor it to Therapist for 22k.
This is more flexible than turning them into Salewas.

TBH, if you are REALLY low on budget (15-20 k and everything in your hideout you need, so nothing to sell), you basically take a scav to a factory and either run straight to the exit as is, or loot one-two dead scavs and exit. The kit you get from a scav will be... Something. At least it will be enough to go woods/shoreline and loot in the middle of nowhere just to rise at least 500k. The gun in your case is more of a self-assurance that you will not die from a scav.
This might be one of the most useful videos available learning how to gear up in Tarkov. It's all gold.

Great Video. One small thing though: I'd craft CMS kits with used CAR kits instead of salewas. Makes a bit more profit and only uses one CAR
Or 4 nippers and trade them to Jaeger. Finding them is better then buying them.
The emergency water ration is a good trade to therapist for a salewa
another tip that I saw, believe on youtube shorts, was: if you find an adar on a scav and you want to use it, don't repair it, instead get the gun, and buy the receiver from skier for 8k roubles, then move all the parts to the receiver, and you can turn a 50-70 durability adar into a completely new one
This is like watching one of the TLC shows about how people do insane things to save money.

I have got to L24 this wipe, my highest in 2 years of owning the game. I only have a few hours a day to play, my map knowledge sux, I am 57 and have the reflexes of an 80 year old and I HATE losing gear and money. My main strategy is run my scav, get the kit, repair what needs and is worth repairing and run it on my PMC. If I die, no loss, if I live and kill someone (lol like thats gonna happen), I upgrade to their kit and around and around we go. I have 8 full scav boxes, 4 med boxes, 4 food boxes, 2 grenade cases, 6 ammo boxes, 3 mag cases and a load of document cases as well as almost 17m in cash. I have a 40% survival rate from 130 raids and a KD of 2.1. My advice, max your scav ASAP and enjoy free money and kits for the rest of the wipe.
For me it's all about bringing the right weapon for the task within the limits of the traders I have unlocked or what I can get on the flea market without too much overpay. For loot runs on Woods I'll take a Mosin for scav protection. The RFB is great for daytime outdoor place & retrieve quests where the lack of a light & laser isn't an issue. An SMG configured for point fire with either 45-AP or high damage rounds for CQC. And then there are the gun specific quests.
I'm a average player (5th wipe) tried the vector 45 out with fmj and clapped 4 players in a customs battle at old gas that included 4 squads and myself. It was a FFA but p3ob one the most fun fights I've had this wipe. I ended up dying but man the vector 45 was so easy to use . Good memory though and a gun I won't sleep on anymore. For more budget I've mastered the ppsh. Bring in some 71 drums the pst ammo (25 pen and 50 damage) . Sounds underwhelming but because of the sizee of the tokarev it does alot of blunt damage if you don't get any pens. The rof and disregard for ammo since it's cheap and can be bought unlimited supply really scares a lot of players haha. Long live the papashaw
20:47 at level 2 traders the CAT is actually cheaper to buy than the esmarch tourniquet (for sure when buying 2 at least), which is really nice. Hope this doesnt change tbh.

I love this guys videos, super helpfull, I'm returning to tarkov and this helped me a lot. "Except I got insta banned after formatting my PC, system probably detected it as account sharing, but it's gonna be a while till i get it unbanned.. but once I do I will for sure run these kits."

Very little modding possible currently makes it not that great imo. Could be a great shotty though especially with the 13 round mag!

If you want to run a drum on the ppsh the micro rig usually sells on the flea for 10k or less.
Drums always comeback in insurance as well if you gotta run and gun
One of my favorite barter(s) is the Black Journal or Diary that you get very frequently out of safes, you need 4x Journals or Diaries (whichever it is) and at prapor you can exchange them for a level 4 armor (120k value) but if you just dump your journals into scav box while leveling / questing you'll have like 8 armor's worth once you hit Prapor level 2 or 3?
Its the level 5 korund, hit safes and filing cabinets with a docs case in your butt and if you die you use the diaries for the barter
Do you get anything that Carries over if you reach a certain level/trader rep after wipe?
Zero, nothing carries over at the moment except your base game package
One other thing to note: the krechet at prapor 2 is a fantastic optic for its price (14k)
The krechet has pretty bad ergo, but for not much more money you can get other sights which are just as crisp but have better ergo. I think Romeo8T was a good option, but I haven't played in a while so I could be wrong.
The krechet also looks incredibly ugly which is another reason not to use it.
@@wurfyy being ugly and "off-meta" helps it come back on insurance more, which is nice for the budget.
@wurf it has a very stable reticle and is very cheap, I find it works really well on SMGs where losing a bit of ergo is no big deal because it already had through the roof ergo

The Car kit is super loud with the zipper opening. The Salewa makes a lot less noise and that can sometimes save your life.
love your content bro, just started this wipe and I’m level 29, doing fairly well I’ve got 19mil and about 45% survival rate. mostly play duo with my brother late night so run into a lot of chads bc I run shoreline and customs and then bush wookies on woods lol. never ran interchange or reserve and minimal lighthouse runs but I want to start. a tips video for those maps or any tips on best possible ammos available early and then what guns to run with them. 7.62 ps is awesome early wipe. I need to learn what quests to prioritize and what doesn’t matter as much, because I’ll focus so hard on quests that don’t open anything up for me or do much for me at all, a guide for quest prioritization would be really cool too once it gets closer to late wipe. hoping I’m able to speed run a little better my 2nd wipe I was disgustingly inefficient when I just started 2 months ago lmfaooo. Keep it up though I’ll watch whatever you put out regardless ✌️
I would suggest for you to do interchange as a scav to get used to it. the extracts are always the same for scavs, opposite corners of the map, with the railroad being the safer extract late raid. since the extracts are easy to remember, it is okay to get lost in the map getting used to it, as long as you give yourself the last 8-10 minutes to start heading out. the middle lane of the mall is high risk as Killa and PMC's like to go there, so running the edges of the map while you learn the spawns and loot locations is good. I have found GPU's, Intelligence, and plenty of lvl 5 armor on dead PMCs as scav.
The most important quest is getting Shooter Born in Heaven before your brother so you can brag about it 😉
I highly recommend focusing on spa tour and wet job in order to unlock the Nato high pen ammo at peacekeeper. Aside from that long line is important to get access to (in my opinion) the best Armored rig in the game but you're far from getting that quest (I think it is Lvl 45 or sth at ragman)
The rest really is optional and just for you to have an objective in the game.
Killing shturman 25 times can be fun too if you like woods. You'll get the mk18 as a reward which is really strong and makes you feel like god 😂

The rat rig barter at ragman lvl 2 is only 3 chainlets + 1teapot= >50k roubles which is crazy
One point I would add to the meds section is IFAKs. Car Kits are fine if you just want to grab something quick and easy from the trader, no hassle. IFAKs are typically 16-17k on the flea, which is not bad considering they're significantly stronger than Car Kits, but also can be crafted for about 12-13k on average at the Med Station. Obviously this depends on the price of Augmentin but that has stayed in and around 15-17k for a while now so it's a safe bet. Not to mention Augmentin and Pile of Meds are usually left behind in raids, so I like to stock up on them during my scav raids and craft endless IFAKs for next to zero cost.
The thing I don't like about ifaks is the max 50 heal, can leave you having to heal twice in many situations on a single limb. Space saving though

I just buy the m1 rig armor, it's really big in terms of inventory and heavy ish so people never pick it up, and it repairs very well. I've had the same two for like 8 levels now.
it’s so weird, you’d think w how often people pick up tv-110s they’d also pick up the m1 rig but nah, idk why.

I play a lot of reserve. I'm like addicted to that map, most of my time in the game is spent playing reserve, hoping for Gluhkar spawns and raiders. I find a lot of 5.45 BT/BS/PPBS on that map and I end up running 5.45 a lot just becaues that's the "best" ammo I have. I'm not very good though so i don't usually run higher than level 4 stuff myself. I dont know how many fight's ive lost because I'm using a "bad caliber" or just because I'm not that great.
My favorite thing to do is snipe and it's also not that hard to find some SNB. I don't find much 7.62x51
Mid wipe a lot of the classic low budget builds become less and less viable imo.
The way to go for new players this late into the wipe is leg meta weapons. PPSH, Kedr, Shotguns etc. Doesnt matter if class 5 armors are becoming more and more common when you're kneecapping PMCs.
The classic advice of going for 762x39 PS budget SKS or AKM builds, ADARs with 855, or even RFBs or vepr Hunters with FMJ are pretty trash against people wearing decent armor. You will never burn through their armor fast enough with slow firing, lowish pen ammo so its better to not even try. Go for heads if you've got the skill or go for legs if you dont.

Ifak can only heal 50 in one go which I'm not a fan of. But one slot is nice

I feel very good BC i dont need to Turn every rouble anymore ... I have 17mil in the Bank and have enough Kits ready to Go with good Gear and ammo that i could go ~20 raids without much spending ... So my will to spend more is obviously there and my Gear fear is getting lesser, but i still Always get 90% of my Kit from my stash before spending any Money, i buy some meds Here and there but i Always try to Stick to what i have ... Im lvl 36 almost 37... Ive played Till 39 at 12.6 and Till lvl 32 at 12.12 i think ... What brought me Back to the Game were the recoil and weight and stamina Changes ... Really good they finally started to Balance Things in a direction that Not only gigachads on steroids can actually move and carry stuff
I didnt start day one BC streets didnt Hype me at all ... I am more a Game mechanics Guy and Not content Guy ... I dont need more content in eft .... I need more Balance Changes to make the Game more fun
Don't sleep on 7.26x39 ps ammo, I still use it at almost level 40. Great for budget runs
It can tap most early-mid helmets in my experience. Especially when people skimp out and buy something like an SSh-68 or Ratnik.
Zhuk 3 is the best budget armor it’s cheaper than paca, higher armor level and repairs outstanding like you can buy a 3/50 on flea and it will repair decimals off 50
Propital isn't widely available as a lower level, wise up.

While 9x18 has awful ammo, don't sleep on the Klin, especially as a secondary to a sniper.
The last few weeks I've been running a Klin, with the rotor mount, a laser, and a sight, with SP7, and it's an amazing secondary to an AP-M Gornostay.
It's not meta, but it still shreds scavs and pmcs if shooting for limbs. Plus you basically can guarantee that you'll get it back if you happen to die, as many people ignore the Klin and Kedr without knowing how good it can actually be.
It's literally like a 25k rouble set up, and is better than basically any pistol you can buy. The Klin and Kedr also go for insanely cheap on flea, usually around 15k rubles.
The level 4 Ulley has been my go to this whole wipe. I usually pick them up for around 45k, maybe 55k at the most. It's heavy, but it's such a good set of armor. Repairs poorly but for cheap level 4, it's not a big deal, especially when finding a couple items in raid can pretty much pay for it entirely. Plus having stomach protection has saved me several times this wipe. I've constantly run into people still using MMACs, who got killed because of no stomach protection. I've personally killed people this way, especially when shooting for lower body with shotguns and smgs, or when I get caught close range and have to use my RFB. Not getting your stomach blacked by a scav is worth the weight of the Ulley

It's not a particularly fun way to play, but probably the most cost efficient kit in the game is the naked double barrel shotgun. Don't even bother with meds, just stick loot up your bum and it's profitable no matter what. Kill a scav or two and you've made 5X on your investment and gotten an upgrade.
Not sure this is the right time in the wipe progression for this content.

Salewa and Carr are overrated. IFAK and AFAK gang gang
Once you hit 10 mill (not very hard if you scav even twice a day) You have no more worries of roubles anyway. Saving time healing is more important than saving roubles. I can make the roubles back by surviving because my heal got off 2-5s earlier. Time = Money in Tarkov too. No dollar spared when it comes to survival. Going in with nothing results in low survival %. In youre 5 naked runs, ive made 20x the amount surviving a raid while geared because the odds increase. Armor repair kits pay for themselves in about 25% use.
All of what you just said points towards you being a gigachad whose experience is completely irrelevant to the average player.
If you have a relatively high chance of surviving a PvP encounter, your gear considerations are very different from that of someone who loses most of them. You can afford to use better gear and it actually pays off. I can't afford to even carry propital on the hotbar and over hundreds of raids I've had maybe a handful of instances where I thought it might have saved me had I had one.
@@wurfyy if 20k for a propital is too much money, you really should scav more or change your strategy for looting in raids.
Not everyone is gonna be able to go in and out of resort or dorms every raid and survive, but making even 200k or 300k a raid is very easy, even with a small bag and rig. If even that is too much, maybe consider scavving more to offset the costs of your pmc kits.
@@xXxNECROMONGERxXx Its not about money and better gear though. I've been at this point I assume wurf is - Lets imagine for the moment that it's certain that you'll to die to any player encounter. If that is true, you have to either avoid all players or ambush them. Expensive gear doesn't help you do that, just drains your funds.
@@wurfyy true- same here, I only carry in non secure container a heavy bleed. out of 200+ raids maybe I might have survived a few times if I had a heal hotkey...
usually I or the other PMC dies within 1 sec of the fight, for me anyway and if not, im running away till I get a better position... though I do night raids, and geared up with backpack, ammo and all 450k+ worth of stuff
