I favor the Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39 more than my CZ 527 in the same caliber. A big plus is that the Ruger uses Mini-30 magazines, and they are much better than those used in the CZ.
I'd love to get the STANAG magwell for the 5.56 rar for my 7.62x39 as Mini 30 mags are iffy to get here in Canada as the mini is banned. Tried to order it but the Canadian distributor said they couldn't. You can run 10 round "AR pistol mags" here but all other semi auto mags are limited to 5. Don't you yanks let this bullshit mag limit thing happen to you.
i got one of these last summer and i'm also very impressed with the small groups with the cheapest of ammo . i replaced the bottom magazine housing with one from a 223 model , which allows me to use ar 15 mags . in terms of functionality , with a 10 round mag , it is very similar to my 303 lee enfields , just smaller . very robust , very accurate and it just seems to "fit " .
Thanks for the video! I definitely need to purchase one of these rifles. It's amazing to hear that you go Coyote hunting in SW PA. I grew up in Duquesne during the 70's and left in the mid 80's and I cannot recall any Coyotes during that time, only Foxes. I've been living in New Mexico for 30+ years and they are quite plentiful out here.
My view point is very much the same but for different reasons. Yes I think it's a great rifle and cartridge combo. Accurate for me, Mini 30 mags ok, cheap scope on top of mine. My view point is that it's a great rifle for me to have time with the kids - not a mule kicking cartridge. They've graduated to this from .22s, learned patience and breathing, physics, mechanics and respect for firearms. It's been a joy watching their excitement with it's accuracy and target scores. Great video and I look forward to more.
When I first got mine I put a few rounds of Barnaul and 20 rounds of PPU and I had a couple FTF with the brass cased PPU. I was worried it was a lemon. Took it out again and it devoured 50 rounds of dirty old corrosive Chinese surplus from the 70s and 80s without a hiccup. Think it just didn't like the ppu
@@garywoodlief1976 I reload for mine as well I’ve been using hornady 123 sst. I’ve only been lucky with coyotes. I’ve missed my shot last year on a big mule deer I hunt out eastern Washington hopefully I can’t take one this year I’m curious how effective this cartridge is. It puts coyotes down no problem but those are 40-50 pound dogs

I get less than 1 inch groups with mine. 123gr sst with CFE Blk is a winning combo in this rifle.
A real testament to the gun you’ve had this for over 4 years now thank you !!!
Great logical thinking process.
Everything you said makes sense.
got one of these and put the skinner sights scout rail on it, wow it made the gun even more handy.
Love this rifle, it is a "survival" rifle, I already have couple of SKS so didn't get this one.
A great little rifle. I really like the one I have. 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

Group is great, but low and left.
Nice shootin! I waited to late I can"t find one now!
It took me about a year to find one; it was worth the wait.
What Bipod can I get for this Rifle I don’t know what kind to get ???
Magpul MOE
I have this rifle and have killed 3 deer with it but your videos would be more interesting if you could show target while shooting
What bullet did you use? How effective is that cartridge on deer

You sound like you’re from western Pennsylvania. Go Stillers.
