Dude, the moment they played the first “gong” of this tune in the movie theater of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, I wanted to stand up and clap!
I went with my wife who was not impressed. I was beside her like an over-excited child - I loved every second! It was sooo good 😁😁👏👏😎😎👍👍

At the very moment this song began, I know I wasn't the only one that had goosebumps. This is an epic anthem. Nice touch having it go right into Danger Zone, like the first. Absolutely genius.

Omg!! EXACTLY!! I went to the cinema on Top Gun with my dad and when this began playing, I had goosebumps
I was elated when I heard this in the beginning of Top Gun; Maverick, as well as showing the story of Top Gun like in the first one. I was triple elated when they showed the flight deck scene. That was always my favorite part of the original movie. (I have a cousin married to a fighter pilot, so it was sort of a visceral feeling watching the thumbs up and saluting the deck) I didn't expect #2 to be as good, but I have to say I might like #2 better than #1! I love any movie that can bring out a patriotic pride in people. DAYUM! And this whole soundtrack is EPIC!

Damn I got this track eventually I was looking for it since I watched this legendary movie yesterday in 4DX. As the movie started with this celestial theme, it just mesmerized me. Theme was just epitome of classy 85 Top Gun 1.0. Superb acting skill by all the crew and indeed by Tom Cruise. Hats off!
It was pretty great wasn't it? I'm going to see it again next week!

When i heard the fist gong and saw the same opening i felt like i was 10 years old again. Goosebumps! What a movie!, great decission to premiere only in theatres.
The opening had nothing to do with the first scene, but everything to do with setting the tone & honoring the legacy of Top Gun. Perfect😁😁

I had enough. Literally couldn't abide another second.
Then I remembered the Top Gun anthem. Actually I think it began playing in my head during the Ukraine video. I moved over to our movie channel and pulled up the original Top Gun film. The gong began sounding its urgent command as the carrier headed into the wind. Planes were moving toward the catapults.
The F-14's afterburner came on with a white hot brilliance. I found myself moving the volume up notch by notch. It's late here -- this might wake up my neighbors... It didn't matter. It's a wonder my speakers didn't just blow out.
I'll be writing a check to a Ukrainian relief organization in the morning.

Best movie in years. The sequel is unbelievable. Tom Cruise out did himself in this movie w great producer & director like it sitting in real fighter jet. Music theme is outstanding like the movie. Tom Cruise should be getting an award for this. He's been acting 40 years this one he deserves to be rewarded for. Great job Tom always love your movies. You have out done yourself again better & better.

In terms of the themes, the episode one of TopGun really stands out and is so classic that Maverick cannot beat, but the 2nd episode has its story features as well.
They both feel consistent & relative 😁
I like this song a lot, that soothing background, it has that Free Willy sound to it which was good as well

I didn't appreciate the first Top Gun when I watched it, but after seeing Maverick I know why: I didn't see it in the theatres. Despite the fact that Maverick was great all around, the opening into Danger Zone with all the flights landing/taking off was such an adrenaline rush
The tone of the intro was perfect - even though the next scene was elsewhere - it showed an awareness of what Top gun is to many people. It IS the Danger Zone😁
