The length of the vamp also has a great deal to do with how the shoe will fit. A shorter vamp makes the overall fit more critical, as a short vamp may very well cause the heel to slip. A longer, more snug vamp can help considerably with heel lift. It’s always a good practice to try before you buy when it comes to all slip-on shoes.
